Café im Alten Museum — Restaurant in Berlin

Interesting to read the last review on here. The short waitress working today was very impolite and unapologetic when I almost spat my beer out my mouth because it was so disgusting. It tasted awful and when I checked the date and saw it was an out of date beer she said, „it is only a couple of days out of date“ and that it was „nothing to do with me“ ! I got the feeling she already knew she was selling off goods. Appalling. I wasn’t even offered a glass of water to wash the bad taste out my mouth. This place needs new management and they are misplaced. The waitress was serving people with her face all scrunched up as if she wanted everyone to know she was having a bad day. Very...

Everyone has their own experience - mine was resounding positive. One little gem of German cuisine is Apfelkuchen - a wonderful piece of which I was able to find here. The double espresso I had with it was quite good too.

Indeed, the lady working in the café had to find the cake for me - and it was worth the effort. From my first visit here, I cannot quite understand the negative reviews - though obviously every experience...

Hatte mich gefreut ein Café im Museum vorzufinden. Bis zum betreten. Wollte ein Foto vom Innenraum machen. Dieses wurde mir sehr drastisch untersagt. Zuruf der Angestellten "fotografieren verboten. Privaträume".Wenn das so sein sollte, bitte am Eingang ein großes Schild aufstellen FOTOGRAFIEREN VERBOTEN. Nächstes Highlight. Auf die Frage ,was für Muffins es gäbe ( 4 Stück in der Auslage ) gab es die ernüchternde Antwort, es sind Muffins. ( hatte ich auch schon erkannt) Bei dem doch übersichtlichen Angebot, sollte sich die Angestellte vielleicht doch schulen lassen. Aber es kommt noch besser. Der Cafe Crema wurde mir in einer schmutziger Tasse angeboten. Ein absolutes No No. Das ich erst auf Nachfrage ein Kaffeelöffel bekommen habe passte zum "professionellen" Auftreten der Mitarbeiterinnen ( Frau Elvi)Fazit, nicht empfehlenswert. Hinweis, es geht wesentlich besser. Das zum selben Unternehmen gehörende Café im Schloss Friedrichsfelde, ist dagegen nur zu empfehlen. Leider musste ich ein Stern vergeben um die Rezension...
