The Barn Café Checkpoint Charlie — Restaurant in Berlin

I come to this café because the staff is so friendly and attentive; they always spread good vibes and it’s one of the few places where the staff is still genuinely nice. The space is clean, bright, and open. The café strikes a great balance between a 'laptop culture' vibe and the classic idea of meeting friends, chatting over coffee and cake. The coffee is top-notch. However, the selection of cakes and snacks could use some improvement. One confusing aspect is that the restroom has no sign on the door, so people often wander around looking for it. Luckily, the super friendly and patient staff steps inn and offers guidance. The restroom itself doesn’t really match the style of the café, looks a little cheap and could be cleaner and have some solid furniture in there or a solid trashcan etc. But more importantly, and I really hope the responsible people read this comment for that reason: Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi doesn’t work consistently, which is a major downside when I’m here with my laptop and have to rely on my mobile hotspot. But as I mentioned, the staff is so pleasant and the atmosphere so welcoming, like today for example, that I keep coming back and even bring friends here. In a city like Berlin, where friendly staff in cafés can be hard to find, it really stands out how much effort they put in, both in their service, in small talk with the customers and keeping the place clean. I love the Barn for the quality and atmosphere and explore their different locations. Today was a quick stop in one on the Friedrichstraße (Check Point Charlie). Amazing smell and smiles makes your day better since you step in. Super friendly staff, cool, cozy and warm design and super focus on coffee! My flat white was just perfect - strong, rich, well-balanced with foamed milk (there plenty of options for milk). Thanks to Sári, who also proudly painted some ornament on it with cheerful smile:). Well, where should I put it? There are some experiences that you can't describe in single words, and that's one of those. The climate is something different, simple, yet it drowns you in the deep feeling, that you have time and you can sit, drink coffee, and eat something. If it's about customer service, we'll be damned if this is not the most perfect service that I got!
