Tucked away in a bustling corner of the city, Frittenwerk lives up to its regal name by delivering fries that reign supreme. From the moment you approach, the aroma of golden, freshly fried potatoes draws you in. The menu is refreshingly simple, focusing on quality over quantity—thick-cut Belgian-style fries, double-fried to perfection, and served piping hot in generous portions.
What sets this place apart is the variety of homemade sauces. Whether it’s the classic mayo, a fiery chili aioli, or their signature truffle-parmesan blend, each dip is rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The staff are quick, friendly, and always willing to offer recommendations.
There’s a touch of creativity too—loaded fries with toppings like pulled pork or vegan curry sauce make it more than just a snack stop. Though seating is limited, the vibrant atmosphere and constant buzz make it a fun street-food experience.
Prices are reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes and quality. If you’re a fan of fries done right, Pommes König is a must-visit. It’s a crispy, salty, saucy indulgence that’ll keep you coming...
Read moreFancy looking fry and toppings shop that tries to bill itself as a poutine shop (it isn't) I ordered the pulled pork 'poutine' which was not good; -Fries we're not cooked properly, very blonde and we're rock solid in the middle -pulled pork tasted very processed -Coleslaw was nice but there was A LOT of it and I don't even remember it being stated on menu/I assume stuff like that would be served separately not dumped on top making everything colder.
I also ordered 'avocado chicken balls' mostly out of curiosity, but I'm glad I did because although they weren't great, they were edible which the fries were not. -they are essentially little round processed chicken Kiev's with an avo cream middle.
Overall it's very expensive for what you get (portions are fine! But it's just badly made fries with toppings) very low quality - I wouldn't ever eat...
Read moreMy partner and I are traveling from New York area and were searching for a place to eat later in the evening. We unknowingly arrived at Frittenwerk after the kitchen had closed for the night. We were greeted by Ed, who told us that even though the kitchen was closed, he would accommodate us regardless! He went out of his way to make suggestions that met my dietary restrictions as a vegan, and even gave us free fries and ketchup! We felt like we had made an instant friend with Ed and after chatting for a bit, we have decided to make Frittenwerk a regular stop anytime we come to visit Berlin. THANK YOU SO MUCH ED, YOU ARE AMAZING!!!!! We cannot wait to return to...
