FOOD & DRINKS This restaurant offers a wild selection of some Japanese classics. Eel, fried chicken, pork cutlet, ramen and much more. The question is if the chef can actually pull that off? I can't say for sure because I was only able to order one dish. I wanted to order more to see for myself but I was already full after the first dish. With the eel I think its sourced from Germany or Europe. I doubt you can get fresh Japanese eel imported for that price. Japanese eel can be very expensive in Japan and is considered a delicacy. I am not so much into eel anyway so I tried the variant with chicken. The chicken was tender and soft which shouldn't be too hard since its dark meat. There is something about Japanese rice. It is sticky rice but you can still taste the individual grain. Really good rice and the sweet sauce complements the savory chicken very well. I am usually not a fan of nori but I didn't mind it too much in my dish. I think the only thing it was lacking is some pickled ginger. It would give the dish another flavor dimension. The miso soup actually had radish instead of soft tofu. Love it.
SERVICE The staff is really nice and friendly. There is something very special and charming about Japanese waitresses.
ATMOSPHERE Basic but clean. Just like you would find it in Japan. It is not suppose to make you stay for hours. You come to eat and leave after you have finished. For western standards its neither modern nor exciting. It is simple.
RATING I actually really like this restaurant. The food was really good and the service undeniably charming but everything was...

Read moreOkay so I hoped after the many positive comments to find a nice authentic Japanese restaurant. Unfortunately was not in so nice food experience. Restaurants is small and crowded. Mainly Chinese or South Korean tourists. Thanks to high points on Google maps certainly. Took takoyaki croquet and main dish ( the special dish). Takoyaki was nearly cold and nearly no tako inside. The special dish was not as expected but okay. All in all not bad but certainly not a 4,5 of 5. Little bit disappointed that there are either no honest people or just too many bought or self made comments. But on the other side the taste is for everyone another experience. Miss the real Japan...
