The restaurant created many barriers that are causing me to be unable to try it out.
I plan to try it out at the end of the month with a group of friends. I followed the restaurant's website to make a reservation. On the website, it states that we need to make a reservation through a phone number within a specific timeframe. I tried it within the given timeframe, but it sent me to the automatic message system. The message said I needed to book it through Whatsapp, which I also tried, but their number was not even registered in Whatsapp. In the end, I went to the restaurant and tried to make a reservation in-person.
The man there said for a table size this big, I need to book it 3 weeks in advance. Neither of these info was mentioned on the website. Even if I followed the reservation rules, their system doesn't work at all. They even told me to go back in person the next day and try to speak with them again. He also suggested I could come on the day and wait outside in the line and if they have space, they will let us in. What is the point of making a reservation? This makes no sense at all.
I want to share my experience here so more people will know in advance and avoid running into the similar situation that I have.
Therefore, I don't think I will visit this place again. I would rather spend my money somewhere that gets better customer...
Read moreThe staff was friendly, the place is a bit hot but that’s not too much of a problem considering it’s summer and the door was open (probably why the AC didn’t feel as cold). Me and my friend ordered the beef bulgogi kimbap and soy garlic chicken to share. The good point is that the portion is enough for 2 people for just ordering those two dishes. The kimbap is huge, but it’s lacking flavor. We just don’t think they put enough seasoning on it. The chicken was lacking everything. It’s not crispy, and the soy garlic soy sauce is lacking seasoning as well. Compare to other establishments in the area, you can definitely find something better.
But I won’t lie, the people who sits next to us ordered a different kind of chicken and it look so much better than ours, smells delicious too. We were hoping that we should’ve ordered that one instead.
The most disappointing thing is, not even 5 minutes after we left the restaurant, i start feeling nauseous. I told my friend and she said she’s fine, so I ignored it. But about 30 minutes after she told me the same thing. We didn’t eat anything suspicious before this, only breakfast at home. I checked the reviews and seem like another person is experiencing the same thing. So please for the owner and manager pay attention to the cleanliness of the food prepared and the oil used to fry...
Read moreThis restaurant is great, the fried chicken is delicious and there are various different flavors you can choose from. The medium sizes are more than enough, but there is also the option to get a bigger option in case yoz are starving or intend to share with others. The complementary beer is of course a must have to fully embrace the korean vibe that this restaurant is pulling off.
There is also a diverse choice of various soju flavors, soju cocktails or even the choice to get a soju- bomb or train which is a nice touch to elevate the experience with a group of friends.
There were also a few other korean dishes to choose from and also a very tasty looking Bingsu which is korean shaved ice which likely tastes just as well.
The only downside at the moment is the hype of this restaurant as you will likely have to wait some time to get a spot inside (however as it is close to the Immermanstraße where you need to wait at most locales it’s not that much of a deal). We even got some soju shots while we were waiting, which was a nice gesture.
I would definitely recommend to give this restaurant a try if you would like to experience korean flavors or just to have a nice time with...
