台灣寶島美食 ILHA FORMOSA Gourmet (Düsseldorf） — Restaurant in Dusseldorf

Food was fine, but seriously!!! the service lady….. She was very rude to be honest! She behaved very aggressively and irrespectively, yielded“kaputt“ to another customer who just entered the restaurant and asked where the toilet is and later she asked for “1 euro” and allowed that customer to use toilet. I do understand that toilet is not for public but the face reaction, gestures and ton of speaking when someone may want to use toilet before order food was quite surprising as she works in servicing industry. During the ordering, I almost decide to go out as she were extremely rude and aggressively behave…After finish food, i went to pay and she refused to accept card and showed me “public notice” she attached at the counter and hide behind menu card for some reason… she shows it each time when customers want to pay with card and hide it again behind the menu card…it doesn’t look...

Food was good, we had the beef noodle soup, which was very hearty with authentic Taiwanese flavor. We also had their nice and refreshing barley tea, perfect on a hot day.

Unfortunately the lady serving us was unfriendly. (a middle aged lady with Taiwanese accent). From the first greeting until we paid at the end, it felt tense. And from the way she talked and treated us, we had a feeling like she didn't like us to be their customer, while she treated the other customers very pleasantly.

In contrast, the gentleman (owner?) was kind and friendly, even bought us their house-made chili oil, which improved the beef noodle soup taste.

Overall we enjoyed the food, but left with a bad aftertaste because of the service. They have other interesting food we'd like to try. We might consider to order with delivery services to avoid the...

We always pass by here when we are in Düsseldorf. Rich and comforting food and drinks. Unique dining experience.
