FOOD & DRINKS I came here just for the bingsu and ordered the classic one with red beans. You could say it is pretty expensive since it is basically just shaved ice with a bit of topping. The ice itself was very soft and flaky. It just melts the moment it touches your tongue. Really really good shaved ice. I also like the red beans. They were not too sweet. Just the perfect amount of sweetness overall. There was a scoop of read beans on top and a thin layer in the middle.
SERVICE The place was pretty full when I came in. I got myself seated and ordered at the counter since none of the staff members went around to take orders. They only bring the order to your table and sometimes you see the owner taking care of the place. One thing I really like was the free tap water as self service close to the kitchen / staff door. Otherwise service was pretty basic.
ATMOSPHERE The seating situation is very narrow. There is absolutely not a lot of space unused I dare to say. If possible try to get one of the wooden tables for the Korean aesthetic feel. The white tables don't look that great.
RATING I understand that they want to get as many customers into this cafe as possible but it comes at a price. It has less charm and it can get pretty loud. That said they offer some good items and when seated at the right table, it can be quite enjoyable here. If hope they can improve some things here and there. I can recommend this location. There are not that many options...
Read moreMy Girlfriend told me that we have to visit a place where you can get korean ice cream....I was like " whats the difference to europe ?? "
I tasted the answer and it was amazing! It's a small but lovely decorated cafe and the employees ( koreans ) were ( are ) super friendly.I think I already visited the cafe around 4-5 times and it tastes always like a sweet dream of ice cream.
There are enough bingsu variations you can choose from...from Mango bingsu to tiramisu bingsu etc.
Even if it's cold outside....enjoy a bingsu, tea or coffee! The prices are good and fair and the portions are satisfying. The taste....absolutely over the top! The Bingsu are made with a lot of Love and detail and you will enjoy every bite of it!
But I think that this is also a different variant of a bingsu and I also experienced a different bingsu in Berlin.
If you are in Düsseldorf then dont miss it.....really....don't even think of it to walk by.......enter the cafe!......do it!
You can also collect stamps for a card to get a bingsu for free....( as far as I can...
Read moreThis review is based primarily on their iced coffee, in particular the iced Americano. Düssedorf is not an easy city to find good iced coffee. This is so far the best that I've found for an iced Americano year round. Some times places will do some form of iced coffee in the summer then take it off the menu during the fall and winter. Unfortunately I like iced coffee year round. Don't know about any of the 3rd wave/specialty coffee stuff here. I hadn't thought about it until writing this review but decent cold coffee IS here, for 3€. Then the miscellaneous stuff (since coffee is the most important thing at a coffee shop): The ambient is definitely in the cozy category. I like their wooden chairs especially the ones that wrap around the back. I didn't feel like writing this review because I don't want other people coming to my spot but to the other iced coffee lovers out there, you're welcome. If you like any form of cold brew and want to drink it year round, then... I feel your pain.
Holy mackerel! I just saw the bingsoo. It...
