I visited Pozangmacha together with my girlfriend and another friend. We reserved for 3 people and arrived 20 minutes late. Our reservation was gone and that's fair enough, even though I'm not used to that. After entering the cute looking restaurant we were greeted by two staff members who looked very surprised to see guests and quite frankly a bit overwhelmed. So overwhelmed in fact that they didn't even greet us and just placed us at the counter in the middle of the restaurant with an option to get a table later. We went with the that, since the Pozangmacha is supposedly a very good Korean place and ordered some drinks and food. We got the drinks quite quickly, but had to wait for our food for almost thirty minutes while the customers that came after us started digging into their meals before us. During that time I was bumped into a lot, not by the guests surprisingly but by the waitresses.
After a while a table was free and the two unmotivated staff members promptly placed a group of other guests there, that came a long time after us to the restaurant. We complained to the staff and they removed the other guests from the table again so we could sit there. I feel quite bad for the other guests as this is a situation that could have been avoided very easily.
Food and drinks in the Pozangmacha aren't exactly cheap (bottle of Chamisul Soju is 9 € for example ) , so we expected a lot. We ordered fried chicken and gol bang i so myeon. The dish with snails was okay, albeit very boring and bland tasting. The real catastrophe was the chicken though. I have never ever in my life whether it be in Korea, the UK or Germany eaten such greasy, disgusting and chewy fried chicken. I really hate saying this but I'd prefer a bucket of KFC for a third of the price any day over this.
The makgeollli was nice though, so we spent the evening drinking that. The waitresses forgot to bring us our last batch so we decided to wrap it up and pay. To sum the evening up we found the forgotten makgeollli on our bill.
All in all the evening was very chaotic paired with the worst food I have eaten in a long time and staff so unmotivated and impolite it makes the German service almost look really good.
I do not recommend this place at all. In fact, I recommend to stay away from it and try another place in Düsseldorf!

Read moreWe got soju at this place and were extremely happy. But there was some miscommunication about the time and we were sorting it with the waitress (who was decent) but one of the male waiters was extremely rude and was trying to get us out of the restaurant even before it was 11 (the legal time to shut a restaurant due to covid). He threatened to call the cops as if that’s the solution to it all. It was not okay coz we were in the right and ofcourse he dint call the cops coz his argument was invalid. I just think there is a decent way to speak to your customers, when we have ordered there and paid for it, especially when we were waiting for our food to be given to us for take-away.
So DO NOT GO HERE GUYS! They ruined our last Saturday night before covid. Terrible customer service. Pozangmatcha you need to teach your staff what...
