We have visited this place twice now. The first time we wanted to try Kushitei of Tokyo but they closed at 15:00 so we ended up here. And we were lucky to be able to not have to wait in line!

We found out this place is also affiliated to Kushitei. But they offer a different menu.

Today we chose the Ika geso karaage, unagi don and chirashi sushi set. The ika geso karaage is so flavorfull and the squid is a bit chewy but in a good way. The unagi don is served with delicious pickled radishes and eggplant on top of perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked rice. The miso soup was also delicious. You might think that something so simple is easy to make but a lot of places make it too salt or too bland. We chose the chirashi set with Udon in miso soup. My daughter ate all the udon so I haven't tried that but everything I tried here was delicious so far. The fish served in this set was tuna, salmon, salmon eggs and shrimp with thinly sliced omelet, pickled ginger on top of again, perfectly seasoned cooked rice. The karaage had juicy chicken on the inside and a nice crunchy outerlayer even the salad served with the karaage had a nice kewpy style sesame dressing.

You simply can't go wrong here. Come about 10 minutes before opening hours and you have a good chance of not having to wait in line...

BAD SERVICE! We orderd three unagi, and one came up in 5 minutes. Then we waited for another 25 minutes, all the customers around us which came later then us all got their unagi, so we asked the female waiter, she said” do you need 2 more?” So we checked what we ordered with her, then we realized the waiter didn’t got our order right. So we politely ask then that we want 3 unagi in total. Then while we waited, the next table got a new unagi( also came later then us). This made me so angry, we have waited more than 40 minutes in total. And I asked another waiter which seems like the leader. He explained that one unagi we had is the only one he got. I’m angry because he’s not only bad at what he does, but also lying about the waiter actually forgot our order. I am so disappointed about the service and all the experience...

The miso is too way salty for my liking. Had high hopes with this place and ordered the miso karage udon. The chicken was lovely and exactly what I wanted but because it came in the miso it was very soggy and no longer crispy. I wanted to order the small dish of karage and rice on its own but you can’t order it unless you order the udon. I think that is too much food for one person so did not order it. The udon was a lovely texture perfectly chewy but the soup was very salty and I had to drain the soup from the udon to be able to eat any of it. I felt like I was just drinking salt water and could not taste any other flavour. Such a shame that I left all the soup and some of the udon. The competition is high around here for the same food, I would recommend going elsewhere for...

The good- the curry udon was incredible. And the chicken karage is very well done and delicious. The bad- the sushi was not great. Okay quality. It could have been the roll selection- the fried squid special roll, but I would skip sushi next time. The worst- Ordered a large bottle of water, got a half full 750ml bottle. Just assumed it was a bottle filled with tap as some places do. Later charged for a full unopen 750ml water. Very strange? After further discussion, got charged for a 250ml water, but we were still served an open bottle of water without much understanding of what was happening. This was unprofessional and even unsanitary

To avoid long waiting lines in the area, we gave this spot a try. Didn’t disappoint but also not fully convince us. There is better fried chicken in the area, with also better presentation (not on a single-use tray). Noodles and broth were good. Shrimp tempura of good quality but a little soggy. Staff was neither fluent in English nor German. With my glas being still a third full, i was asked whether I wanna have another beer. I responded that I wanna finish this one first but was served another beer seconds later. Lesson learned: next time, I would speak more simple language or use other signals.
