Mixed feelings. I have been there around five or six times. Their lunch menus are unbeatable to begin with. Their atmosphere is amazing. Their service was the absolute best I have ever had until my last dining experience. Usually there is a friendly greeter at the door and the staff, although not always experienced, are incredibly polite and accommodating and genuinely try hard to make for an amazing dining experience which it usually is. I was so impressed by their service and professional attitude that I recommended it to many friends who have also gone there multiple times since then and said the same thing.
Unfortunately, my last experience was horrendous. It felt as if the waiter had a personal vendetta with me. (Younger bald guy) While i was ordering he told me to hurry up and then walked away mid order. Was annoyed the whole time. Got mad at me for asking for a steak knife with my steak and screwed up my friends order. Also little things like he asked whether i want ketchup or mayo with the fries and when i said both he literally scoffed and stomped away. It ruined our day and of course we did not tip him one cent. He escorted us out after we finished and although we didn’t speak german at our meeting, two of the three of us are native german speakers and we heard it loud and clear when he told the greeter at the door how incompetent we are, that it is absolutely not ok not to leave him a tip (absolute Frechheit - were his words) and that he doesn’t want us back. Then when we got closer he put on a smile and wished us a nice day. This guy should wither be taken care of or put on a leash to say the least, absolutely unprofessional and uncalled for.
I was genuinely convinced i had finally found the restaurant in Frankfurt with the best service until that day. I will go back more often though and hope to get someone else in the future. Would be nice to know who is responsible for the service and let them...
Read moreDisappointing 3 hour Dining Experience
I recently dined at Miller and Carter in Frankfurt by the Sofitel Opera, and unfortunately, it was a highly disappointing experience. The highlight of the evening was the fact that my newly engaged fiancée and I spent over two and a half hours waiting for a simple bacon cheeseburger. This unacceptable wait time left us feeling frustrated and exhausted.
To make matters worse, the manager/host displayed a shocking level of rudeness. When we were moved to a second table at two hours into the meal and still no entree, I asked for assistance in expediting my fiancée's meal, only to be met with a curt refusal. This lack of willingness to assist customers is not only discourteous but also reflects poorly on the establishment's commitment to customer satisfaction.
Given the combination of exceptionally slow service and the manager's discourteous behavior, we were left with no choice but to endure what was undoubtedly the worst meal and biggest waste of time during our trip to Frankfurt. I would strongly advise others to save themselves the time and frustration by seeking dining options elsewhere. The nearby Buffalo Steakhouse offers far superior service and a more enjoyable dining experience overall.
In summary, my visit to Miller and Carter in Frankfurt was a regrettable experience that fell far short of even the most basic expectations for a dining establishment. I sincerely hope that improvements are made to ensure future patrons do not endure a...
Read moreEdit: I have to revise my rating following my last 3 visits. Paid over 100 EUR for the 850g Tomahawk steak and a bottle of water, and unfortunately 250g of that steak is just the bone, so you're better off ordering your regular rib eye. In addition the meat came out as well done instead of medium and was dry and had no fat at all. It can't be described as the "ultimate rib eye experience". In general the meat quality can't be compared to Buffalo or even Blockhouse. The mashed potatoes are usually dry, they could gain by adding more milk, cream or butter. The sitting outside is great and service is very friendly, but unfortunately the food doesn't justify the high asking price. Very friendly service, great meat (90% of the time), great sides, big portions, nice atmosphere with relaxed seating outside. The staff are experienced, warm and genuinely welcoming, especially the older staff is amazing, you can tell they genuinely love their customers and their well being (only had one female staff who while being cordial and polite did not seem overly/genuinely interested...
