👏🏽 EVERY 👏🏽 SINGLE 👏🏽 THING we ordered.
Can't think of one thing that wasn't good. The server explained that they just opened and some things to help the process along weren't in place yet; but she was able to fill that void by answering questions and showing pictures.
Ordered: ▪︎ Appetizers Fried gyoza (chicken) - AMAZING! So flavorful. Wish it was fried a Lil bit more though and that they gave at least 6 pieces instead of 4.
▪︎ Sushi Ebi (Shrimp) Tempura - 😍😍🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰. I would have ordered 2 if I had the room in my stomach. Everything paired so well together in this roll.
Salmon Tempura - Definitely good but next to and compared to the Ebi......the ebi is 3x more flavorful. The Salmon wasn't cooked as much as I thought it would be but it's not bad at all. Just something to note for those who don't want raw type sushi
▪︎ Main Dishes Tokygon Bowl (Salmon & Prawn) - Fricking delicious! came with black rice, Surf & Turf - Steak was AMAZING!! Came with a lot of different veggies and I ordered rice on the side (didn't really need it). The pumpkin tasted like sweet potato; I don't even like pumpkin (we are American). I do wish it came with at least 2 or 3 shrimp but only came with one. The sauce BBQ red wine sauce was perfection -- went well with everything on the plate. I do wish the carrots were cooked and Little more because they were too hard for me. The meat came out super rare and not medium like the menu stated, nor medium well like I requested. Server took it back to fix it but only a portion was fixed so we dealt with it. The undercooked parts were too gummy and chewy for my taste, but flavor still on point.
▪︎ Drinks Tokyo Cloud - Delicious, refreshing Lychee Library Mocktail - almost tasted like candy Tokyo Sour Lychee Gimlet (switched Gin to their house-made vodka🥰) -- OMGGG best drink of the day so I ordered 2. They said they'd never tried it so to let them know how it tasted. Definitely top tier and won't be ordering it any other way.
Note: Looked for the Japanese staple Hi-ball but she explained they build everything in house and dont use outside drinks.
Price: We paid about 130 for everything. Which as you can see isn't bad for everything we got. Things were decently priced for the type of restaurant they are.
Atmosphere: super chic and cute. Very picture worthy, we spent the first 20 mins or so taking pics and having fun. They have an area where you can sit traditional style on the floor (no shoes).
Service: the server explained that their bartenders are actively attending courses and training to learn more about their art. This establishment is still very new, and will have an English component menu to assist with ordering in about 2 weeks or so. We just used our translators though, was still...
Read moreNEVER TRY THIS RESTAURANT ( unless your preference for restaurants is only the fancy deco but not the food) I’m not normally write comments especially the bad ones only when I feel really uncomfortable or sick about the fake promo of a restaurant. First of all I saw so many times this restaurant at social media with key words “ fancy” “Japanese food “ . tbh when I first checked the menu I’ve got the biggest disappointment I’ve ever had as a big fan for Japanese food . Excuse me? They only got sushi as the authentic Japanese cuisines. And what else: summer rolls, pho noodle soup from Thai or Vietnam, crispy all kind of meat with curry or without but only in the same level as street food from every fast food at HBFs. I asked them if they have any udon or soba , the answer is only fried udon😇 hey bro u can order that in any restaurant. It’s totally formalism , the Japanese show/deco might caught a lot of attention. Honestly it’s only a Asian cuisine mixed restaurant with average acceptable flavor. make me so speechless as also Asian 😅 I’ve live in ffm for 5-6 years and just nearby this restaurant , now I would rather walk more 2min to sen or 10min to Selera Malaysian or even 15min more to arodyee and mangetsu to grab Asian food for my lunch even though I were starving at the moment just next to tokygon or even waiting in 20 min line for soi22 😄 The main trigger that motivates me to write the long comments was actually a bad experience today. I was there try to order for take away cuz I was just after an operation and felt so starving .taxi drove me home from hospital and I didn’t have much effort for cooking myself but walking longer for another restaurant becuz of anesthesia(Narkose). One of the girl from the restaurant answered me that they open after 12 in german. I’m still dizzy and she has actually a little bit accent and I could heard clearly. Then I just asked politely twin again. The girl turned immediately very impatient and shouted at me “ nach 12!” I felt so insecure and afraid about this situation especially with my dizzy mind due to the anesthesia. Just at the same time a german lady walked in, and suddenly the girl greeted her in a gentle voice. I mean maybe I misunderstood, but rlly no need for treating so differently kinda looks like racism we’re both Asian right ?...
Read moreThe decor looks nice and with those prices, I was expecting a good experience. I had been here in the past, the restaurant was not busy and I received the wrong food, but that was back when they opened, so I thought it's because the menu is new.
This time the restaurant was not busy at all, yet there were several items missing from the plate. When I asked for the ingredients, the cook had to look at the menu. If your cook doesn't know what goes in the dish he's making, it's bad news!
For the price, I don't want to be begging for ingredients. The food we did receive was not fresh and super greasy. Sanitary inspection should inspect the date on those ingredients because some of them were weird. The portion sizes are a joke.
I saw multiple employees on a smoke break and smelled marijuana. Someone before me was trying to pay with a card and it took about 5 minutes of pressing random buttons untill a different employee came and pressed the right button for the payment to go through.
My wife was holding up her card, asking to pay, yet the employee kept looking at me, telling me the price and then handing me the card reader. Makes me wonder what is...
