We specifically went to Beim Sedlmayr because they seem to be the only restaurant in Munich old city that serves Rouladen. They did not let us down. It was so tender and flavorful in a rich sauce served with egg noodles. My husband, in particular, wanted Rouladen because his grandmother made it for him. With the exception of carrots incorporated into their recipe he said it was just like his grandmother used to make. He admitted that the carrots gave it some extra flavor. It brought back wonderful memories for him.
Our server was so kind and gave us, what seemed like, extra attention. Sitting at a table on the sidewalk really added to our meal. Absolutely fantastic experience at Beim Sedlmayr. We'll be sure to eat here first on...
Read moreClearly cold communication from the waitress and even though several times we had ordered before other costumers, we were always served way later. I guess they don't like tourists... Our last order arrived after i had called her for the bill and too late, we had to leave. I even told myself that she had forgotten which i wouldn't had minded. So i wanted to arrange the issue with my rusty German (impossible to talk in something else than a Bavarian German, no English, French or let's say Italian LOL) but the waitress went berserk and cut the conversation by leaving. Really weird and very impolite! By all means avoid the little old waitress with long black hair!!! The food... was not worth all...

Plenty of space inside. A lunch for 2 (0,5 white beer, 0,5 water, asparagus with potato and a small pork schnitzel, beef cordon bleu with cucumber-potato salad and berry sauce was 52 €).
