The best lamian noodle in the town and located literally in the heart of the city. First thing first, the place rather so hidden. Yes I lived here for 4years but i just knew that galeria has supermarket. And this noodle bar is inside the supermarket. Be precise it is in the -1 floor (underground UG). I ordered lamian with chicken and mushroom. The taste was really amazing! 🤩 The noodle was hand pulled type (big broad noodle) and made fresh there so it was still very chewy. The sauce was very flavourful. You can taste the spices but not over power, and very umami. The portion very big and make you full the whole day. You get also also small portion of side dishes, my case was sprout and red cabbage. Such an amazing flavour I couldn’t describe. They also offer chili oil, soya sauce and vinegar. The price was affordable dan the service was fast and nice. Well coordinated! You can also pay with cash and card. The place is more like in the food court area with not so much seats available so the ambience is so so, rather small place and not a restaurant. So eat and go style. Would be better if you come alone or with 2 people is enough. All the people were there mostly asian so it must be authentic. I came there alone and the queue was not so long. Overall the best lamian noodle in town. I would recommend to friends and families. And ofcourse I will come back again and again! Nothing I can...
Read moreWhere is Chen’s Nudelbar? Let’s start with that. Go inside Galeria Kaufhof. Walk to the escalators and go down one floor—you will arrive at 1. UG or as they named it B1. You will see a large shopping area like a supermarket. Just keep walking till the end. Once you see the fish seller and the olives, turn left and you’ll see Chen’s Nudelbar right at the corner behind there. It’s an open kitchen, no walls, just tables and chairs around and you get tk see the whole cooking process. Everything is fresh and noodles are prepared in front of your eyes. I tried so hard to find this place and on my last day in Munich I finally found them. Definitely try their noodles. They have Beijing Duck with Rice too but their noodles are just awesome. I tried Chinese Cucumber Salad and it was fantastically delicious. I will remember this food. The sauces and all flavors were just mind blowing. The portions are really big—you don’t leave hungry. The whole staff in the kitchen are super kind. I wish I had more time in Munich because I would surely come to Chen’s Nudelbar over and over again. This place needs a...
Read moreThe Google map made us confused and it took us a bit while to find this place. The place is lNSIDE Galeria Kaufhof. Simply go inside, and go to the B1 floor. It’s located inside the food/sweets section, next to the seafood counter. When we got there at around 14:00ish on Saturday there was a long enough queue. You’ll need to wait to be seated. We waited for about 15 mins. A staff took us to the counter seats where we could see everything that was going on in the kitchen area which was great. We were fascinated at how organised they were. There were four staff in the kitchen, one constantly preparing noodle, one cooking ingredients, one serving drinks and another at the back who we believed were doing some prep works for noodle dough. Everything was running efficiently so we didn’t need to wait for that long until our food came. The food was absolutely delicious! I had Korean cold noodle which was one of today’s menu. I hadn’t had it for a while since I left Japan so I was really happy to find it there. Everything was super tasty and authentic, and we really...
