Please read until the end before coming at me.
I have dined here twice on different occasions but never again.
At first i had a date here, and it went quite well. Food were amazing, the Irish Oysters & Entrecote were outstandingly delicious. As for the beef tartare, it was good. The Bouillabaisse was a bit too salty to my liking, but i thought that’s fine and told myself this happens sometimes when you eat out. However, when our bill came, the waitress asked would we like to add any tips, we politely declined (tipping is not compulsory in Europe). But she really SIGHED in front of us and just left. No thanking us whatsoever for dining there.
And i came again 3 days after with a friend of mine, hoping that i would not meet that same, rude waitress again. I was really impressed by the food and that was enough for me to be able to ignore the rudeness of the service.
Me and my friend ordered a few Irish oysters as the appetizer, 2 Entrecote (medium rare) with a side of potato foam, and a dessert called “Apfel” and a scoop of pistachio ice cream. Everything went good, a different waitress helped us and she assisted us very well (nice lady, offered me to help with my luggages & bags) and i actually tipped her because i was satisfied.
However things went downhill as i left the restaurant. I got on my train to go back and not so long after, i started having cold symptoms including nausea, and i eventually threw up. Weirdly enough, the vomit was only red, tiny shreds of meat (i only had McDonalds McCrispy Chicken for breakfast). I have eye witnesses on this because it was such a big hassle on board the train. The train “Chef” (boss/person in charge) had to make an announcement regarding my sickness and sought for doctors on board the train. Lucky enough there were 3, and 1 was sitting right behind me and they took care of me until the end of my trip.
Here is my personal take on this restaurant: The menus they serve are delicious, and the ambience is very amusing. But the services are SOMETIMES adequate and the food safety is SOMETIMES measured (you do not know when they will be lacking).
This is a high-end restaurant and they are inconsistent. For this price point, people can easily find better quality restaurants.
To whoever is in charge of this place : Please do improve the consistency of literally EVERYTHING. Especially when it comes to the service & food safety.
Do not just make good food that people might think is a hit or miss. People certainly do not want to walk out the restaurant and fall ill after just a few hours. Customers are willing to spend hundreds even thousands of €€ at upscale restaurants to have a beautiful dining experience. So don’t let them down or underestimate their potential splurge.
Lastly, to that one rude waitress, if you’re having a bad day just keep it to yourself and ONLY yourself, and if necessary just take a break. Don’t work if you hate the job or you’ll end up making the reputation of this...

I’d been wanting to try this place for a while, but reservations are required, and even the bar seats are usually full. Fortunately, I managed to get a table on a rainy day.
I spent €81 (before tips) on 4 oysters, a duck breast entrée with a baked cheese tomato add-on (a generous portion), and two glasses of wine.
The server was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. The dishes were thoughtfully prepared, with certain items sliced or left whole for specific reasons—just ask, and you’ll appreciate how considerate they are. To be honest, the oysters were just okay, but they were definitely fresh! The baked cheese tomato add-on was a pleasant surprise, so much so that I’d happily have it as a stand-alone lunch. I insisted on regional wines, although it seemed the server had other recommendations in mind.
The price is not much higher than the city average (I ate way more this time for €81), but the quality and experience make it absolutely worth it. I highly recommend this place for a celebratory treat or a date.
It’s located inside Dallmayr grocery shop, and I’d suggest browsing the coffee shop on the 2nd floor before dinner—it adds to the...
Read moreI have dined here a few ocassions but never experienced the situation I was put through yesterday.
It was 17.30, there were several tables empty. My friend and I asked if they had availability for 2, they asked if we were there to eat or to drink. We stated that we would have something to drink but not to eat, which was fine. We asked if the usual Dallmayr pastry was on offer before sitting down, the waiter said "no" but advised us to sit down in the Bar given the upstairs Café was closing soon.
I am pregnant so I cannot order alcohol, but was about to order a homemade lemonade (€6) and a piece of Lemon Cake (€13.5), my friend was ordering a homemade lemonade also. We were asked to leave the restaurant by another waiter, because we were not ordering anything alcoholic to drink, which he kept anchoring on that "its their concept". I have never been subjected to this type of unprofessional behavior and discrimination towards a pregnant woman or generally, not consuming alcohol. I don't know if the waiters really thought through their decision, or simply were demotivated due to not having accumulated sufficient tip that day, but this type of short-termism in customer treatment is...
