I recently dined at Παλιό τετράδιο (Palio tetradio) restaurant, and while the overall experience was satisfactory in terms of food and service, I had a disappointing encounter during the billing process. Despite leaving a 10% tip, I noticed that the waiter overcharged me by an additional 2 euros. What concerned me even more was the fact that he deliberately held the card payment terminal away from our view, making it difficult to verify the transaction.

When I brought this matter to the attention of the head waiter, I was met with dismissive behavior and a lack of concern. It was disheartening to see such a disregard for customer satisfaction and an unwillingness to address the issue. As a patron, I value transparency and honesty, especially when it comes to financial transactions.

I believe that it is essential for Παλιό τετράδιο (Palio tetradio) restaurant to maintain high standards of integrity and professionalism, especially in regards to billing procedures. Instances like these can tarnish the overall dining experience and erode trust between customers and the restaurant.

I hope that Παλιό τετράδιο (Palio tetradio) restaurant takes this feedback seriously and implements measures to prevent such incidents from happening in the future. Clear communication, proper oversight, and a customer-centric approach to problem-solving are vital for ensuring a positive dining experience.

I had expected more from Παλιό τετράδιο (Palio tetradio) restaurant, and it is my hope that they will address this matter promptly and take the necessary steps to rectify...

I couldn’t say that this place is any worse or better than the surrounding locations, but I will say that I won’t be bac anytime. The bread and water aren’t free but it’s difficult to say no. They are super enthusiastic to get you into the restaurant but once you order then the service is not great. I got the gyro plate which does not come with enough tzaziki in my opinion and doesn’t taste amazing without it. Ordering extra tzaziki is 5.50€ which is quite steep. When we asked for the bill they told us to stay but we didn’t want to, than it started to rain (we were sitting outside. Some areas were covered but we were not) and it took an extra 10 minutes to pay. Super meh unfortunately, but this could be the entire area. Although other surrounding locations are rated higher. Not to mention the table we got was quite uncomfortable and they made it seem like a hassle that I wanted the...

Frozen veggies, fish was over cooked, lemon wasn’t rip enough to squeeze. Fava bean appetizer was alright. Was either out of Mythos or the Mythos wasn’t cold enough so the waiter brought us the Alfa beer. The male waiter was a little rude. He seemed irritated. The females were very polite and friendly in the beginning. After it got busy, they wouldn’t give us any attention. None. We held our hands up requesting the bill and each server waved us and said 1 minute. After, 20 minutes, a waiter finally gave us the bill. He was kind enough to accept our visa even though he stated he prefers cash. The male was much kinder at the end of our dining experience when we were paying. Music was beautiful. They were obviously very busy and tried to keep up with the crowd but it is just a tourist trap on a beautiful street. You can find better...

Attention Scam/rip-off! Athens has lots of great places with fantastic service but this place is really to avoid! We have asked if we can only have a drink and the waiter agreed and showed us a table but from then on we did not feel welcome at all. The staff is extremly unfriendly, another waiter was quite upset as we did not eat, even though we clearly asked before if that would be ok. We spend 15minutes there and had to pay 23€ for a small bottle of water, a small Cappuccino (9€!!) and a mojito without alcohol. I am sure it’s not their actual price for locals. Not sure what they wrote on the bill but even after asking they told us the water is 4€, Cappuccino 9€ and Mojito witjout Alcohol 10€. I have never experienced such unfriendly waiters (2 waiters both a bit older) definatelly a tourist trap. Never again.

A quaint place in Anafiotika. Good to stop here when tired of seing so many wonders in Acropole, overheated by the unforgiving greek sun. The taverna is located on the stairs conecting Acropole hill to Plaka and some tables are left and right of theese steep and slipery stairs. Part of the game is to guess how's next to slip and fall 2, 3 stairs. Service is polite and caring, but a bit slow because it's a busy restaurant. Food is good and not that pricy as you may expect for this nice area overcrowded with tourists and the atmosphere is unique. IMHO is one of the places you must put in your todo list when visiting Athen.

The atmosphere of this place and nearby places is amazing. We went there for lunch, was not super busy so the waiters had plenty of time to call every group passing by in. One of the waiters seemed like he didn’t want to work and seemed tired. We got two chicken salads, which was very nice and good portion size for the money (13€ per plate). Be aware that even without ordering they put a water bottle on your table, THIS IS NOT FREE, I ended up pointing it out, even though we drank it, and said it was unethical to do so, which made them remove it from the bill.
