falafel bar ΤΟ ΡΕΒΙΘΙ — Restaurant in Athens

This is a good falafel place. But, there is a big BUT, this is not the best falafel place in Athens. I checked the reviews here and I got overall intrigued.

Let's start by saying that I got the stuff delivered and i was very impressed by the packaging super clean and organized. Now the food: the falafels are not very good. I ordered single falafels paired with sliced tomatoes, their tahini and Yogurt sauce and Arabic pita. Both the sauces and the pita were a disappointment. Overall,the yogurt sauce was very watery, the pita was not homemade for sure. The single falafels look good but taste average unfortunately. What made me put 4 stars was the falafel wrap, because it is very good and the portion is very big for the price you are paying, plus I liked the effort of bringing a gluten free option with vegan sauces as well(that's a big plus). The tabbouleh is a 4/5 as well(fresh ingredients are used). Anyways, I think i reviewed at least 5 different falafel places including this one and I still think that the best one is another one which i reviewed and you can find in my profile(as you see i review quite a lot).

I am posting under a pseudonym because I am a private person and don't like attention, but I had to write a few words about this little gem of a take-out place in Athens. My family and I travelled all over Greece visiting most of the little islands and Athens for a month. This restaurant makes the best street food in all of Greece in our opinion. The price of the falafel-wrap is about half of what you will find in Rodos, Kriti, or Thira, but better! If you have an afternoon to kill in Athens, find this restaurant at the Syngrou-Fix metro stop and you will not be disappointed. You might want to find a quiet place to eat where no one will watch you lick you fingers...

It's not at all the best falafel in town! The falafel is fresh but average and does not taste home made..the pita wrap was ok and the portion size is good. I didn't like the sauce and yogurt was too watery and made the pita too soggy. I ordered a take away but I did consume it within 10 minutes while it was still very warm. 4 points to their professional packaging. But I give overall 3 stars mainly because the guy dropped a strainer onto the floor and to my sheer horror re employed it in service instead of throwing into the sink !!
