GH Attikos Restaurant — Restaurant in Athens

I am so disappointed with my experience overall. Let me start by saying I was SO excited. Reservations cannot be made more than 20 days in advance, so I was so determined to eat here, I put a notification in my phone. Sadly, I was let down. I have very mixed reviews about this place. We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation, knowing there was a time limit for our dinner. We were promptly seated and brought water right away. However, after this, we were completely ignored for about 25 minutes and had to ask someone if we'd be able to place our order. I saw the guy go to two different servers to figure out who was supposed to be attending to us. After another 5 minutes, someone finally came over. During this time, 5 other tables already had drinks and appetizers. We finally got everything and the food was amazing. The view was also something you cannot beat. They did switch our servers at some point and the second person was amazing. He was so attentive and really was on top of everything. At the end of our meal, we were asked if we wanted dessert and asked for the menu. After about 5 minutes. A lady came over, very dramatically, telling us our time was up and there was another reservation. It honestly was so embarrassing. She was so loud and we saw other tables looking our way. I don't get why she couldn't be more discrete. It was even more frustrating considering that we would've been out on time, but they serviced everyone who came after us first. I explained this to our server and he was deeply apologetic and appreciated that we let him know. I could sense the sincerity and it was nice that he acknowledged that. The lady came over to offer us free shots of alcohol, but out of 6 people, I'm the only one who drinks. She was so pushy, but the others don't drink due to religious reasons, so they felt very uncomfortable with how she kept trying to get them to take it. And it doesn't make up for the fact that we were ignored and then treated like we overstayed our welcome. We asked for the bill and it took them 10 minutes to bring it over. Once they did, a different guy stood there with a card reader standing over our shoulders while we tried to review the bill and pay cash. We understood that we were no longer welcomed, but didn't expect them to hover over us while we tried to pay. Overall, I am so saddened and disappointed with how we were treated. I get being busy, but it was so uncalled for. I am so thankful for the server who did understand and was apologetic for the issues on their part. However, overall, I would recommend going somewhere else.  There are plenty of places with an amazing view, but it wasn't worth being embarrassed and feeling less than the...

From the moment we arrived, this was a total disappointment. I had been looking forward to this dinner for months. We emailed and specifically booked a table with an excellent view of the acropolis. I explained that we were tourists and we were hoping to get a good Athens experience. We were seated with an obstructed view, despite being the first people to arrive for reservations and the restaurant being empty. When we asked nicely if we could move to a table with a better view, we were rudely told no because those tables were “reserved”. I felt like saying that we had also reserved, requested a great view of the acropolis, and were the first ones to arrive, so why couldn’t we get the better view? The experience only went downhill from there. After being seated (and despite them having my email and being able to contact me), we were informed their internet was down and they could only accept cash payment. So we had to determine if we could then afford the dinner with the small amount of cash we brought, as we had anticipated to use card everywhere. The same rude waiter repeatedly came over to see if we would order, and looked annoyed when we needed a few more minutes. We finally determined what we could afford to order and pay for in cash, the white wine was served warm and the food came cold. I suspect they batch cook their food and simply plate it and send it out to customers. When it came time for dessert, they had none of the ones we were interested in. Again, total disappointment. We got the bill and left to go somewhere else. As we were leaving, a waiter followed us out and tried to get our attention. I suspect they calculated wrong and were going to request more money (as when we did our calculations, our meal came out to more than they asked for). However, there were people around so asking questions about the restaurant, so he didn’t get the chance and likely didn’t want to turn away potential customers. All in all, a terrible experience. Extremely disappointing. We left and went somewhere else for dessert and drinks....

The view from the roof top is AMAZING!!! ... and it´s not only the view! The whole experience is great! I met this place first by recommendation of our hotel receptionist, and we were very surprised by the view, the service, the food, the drinks, and the very warm welcome greeting from every one. We didn´t have a reservation but they found a place for us, and after some minutes waiting, and with a great attitude, and a smile, they gave us a table with a great view! A year later I came back to this place with my family to celebrate a birthday, my sisters were a bit skeptical as it wasn´t very close from the hotel where we were staying but I insisted and the experience was magical! It was 100% worthed! We made a reservation so we could arrive early to see the sunset and stay having dinner until dark... only those views convinced my family that this was the place we wanted, but there was still more! The staff was amazing, the table was prepared, they knew about the birthday celebration and were prepared for it. Since the greeting they were wishing my stepdad a happy birthday, they brought an aperitif for him as a gift and they honored him with a great place, with the best view! Then the food! we had some questions and dietary requirements and they had a great attitude towards them and honored every single aspect! Great job! The food was delicious, well served and on time! At the end some of the staff stopped to celebrate with my stepdad and some came to wish him a very happy birthday. Very nice touch! they made him and us feel very special!

Some days ago, my in-laws were on vacations in Athens, and we recomended them this place, they were amazed by the view, the service, the food.... and they still talk about it!!

I would reccomend this place to anyone! it´s a great restaurant for couples, famillies, friend groups, etc.... Also for just drinks and the view I would choose it!!
