Sparta Point — Restaurant in Athens

Stopped in for lunch after checking out the Acropolis, food was fantastic, zero complaints.

If you're looking for more friendly service where you can have a little conversation with your server (or at least my server) this isn't the place, which is totally fine (didn't deduct stars for that).

After I finished the gyro I was hoping to get a piece of orange cake, unfortunately I had to wait for 10-15 minutes for my server to finish talking to someone on the sidewalk.

Atmosphere was great, lively little street corner with 2 small birds keeping everyone...

My husband Yiorgos and I discovered this gem of a place back in 2021 on our annual Athens stay. We loved the quality of the food, with a variety of breakfast and lunch options, and amazing coffee. The location is GREAT! Tucked in a neighborhood but walking distance from Odeon ancient theatre. But I must say the best 5 star rating goes to George the owner, who is unbelievably friendly, has professional service, and is always with a smile. Barista seemed nice in the beginning. After we offered to pay by cash, he didn't like it and asked for cash instead. He also didn't like that we asked him for sugar sachet!! When we tried to sit at a particular spot in the patio (to avoid sun), he told the host to ask us to sit at a different spot instead. Host was insistent and wouldn't let us sit at that spot. I asked him if it's reserved, his response was a no. After much pleading he let us sit there for whole 2 minutes!! So much for the Greek hospitality! Or was...
