Amazing healthy, organic restaurant with so many vegan and vegetarian options! Definitely worth the money.
Me Kolonaki is popular for good reason- their ingredient and recipe quality is outstanding (comparable to top brunch spots in New York City in my opinion).
For Lent, they offered quite a few incredible options. Their Enoki Mushroom dish with purple broccoli, pine nuts and black currants is a life changing dish. So filling, so healthy and so flavorful. I order it with a poached egg on top!
The scrambled eggs on Zeus spelt toast is absolutely marvelous. The organic eggs are cooked so delicately and have the perfect soft texture.
The only dish I did NOT like was the vegan falafel. The falafel is rock hard and quite dry. It was not very good and seemed like it had been made days earlier. It comes with a tasty beluga cabbage salads and “eggplant hummus” which is 100% not hummus. It’s smoked eggplant puree aka babaganoush.
Nonetheless I still love this place. It’s clean, chic and high quality. Quite expensive for Greek brunch spots but you’re paying...
Read moreDecent place. If I’m being honest, we only came here because Chez Michel was too full, and we wanted to sit outside. I ordered the burrata focaccia because I’d never tried burrata before and I’d heard a lot of good things about it. I have to say I wasn’t impressed. Unsalted and literally tasted like milk, and maybe that’s what it’s supposed to taste like and I just don’t like burrata. I expected a taste slightly closer to mozzarella but I guess that’s not what it is. It also had way too much olive oil, just an unnecessary amount, really. The focaccia was practically swimming in it. A relative of mine ordered the iced cappuccino which he seemed to like. The service was so-so. It took them a while to respond when beckoned to, and when they did, it took even longer to bring what we asked. The atmosphere was nice though! It’s right by a busy street and has a very city-esque vibe about it. I kind of wish I’d tried some of the breakfast items, since a lot of the comments are saying the pancakes, French toast and eggs...
Read moreVisiting for a wedding with family from Australia, Scotland and London and requested for a table for 9, immediately was shut down by a specific staff saying that wasn't possible. We asked if we could sit on separate tables and we were told to not mess up the place. We also got asked 3 times at the end if we had paid the bill even though the payment receipt was shown to the same staff multiple times. We were racially discriminated as a lot of other guests were welcomed in big groups and tables were rearranged for them whilst we were spoken to in a very rude manner. When the staff member was pulled up for this behavior by us, they later apologised for being this way. For a cafe in such a lovely area with great food this was a very disappointing experience to have traveled all the way and arranged a brunch to be treated in...
