Nosh lobster & brioche — Restaurant in Athens

Using a throwaway account for obvious reasons...

Short version : This place is a scam. Save your money and go eat elsewhere, please trust me.

Detailed version : We went to this place because we were always checking in every country/city we went to for such restaurant, and also we went because all the reviews were good.

I don't know if they bought those reviews or what but I can guarantee you that it's NOT WORTH IT!

We ordered two Lobster sandwiches, one with mayo and the other with Hollandaise sauce, the mayo sandwich was cold, the hollandaise sauce sandwich was not hollandaise sauce, it was a mix of butter with something else, the sauce was essentially just liquid butter, THE LOBSTER HAD NO TASTE AND SOME PIECES WERE HARD ALSO!

We paid 36EUR for two TINY tasteless sandwiches and a drink, what a total disappointment. Of course we didn't complete them and when the guy came to collect whatever was left from the tasteless sandwiches, he didn't even bother asking why or how was the food, because he knew.

Very unethical restaurant, don't put such price tag and scam people, have some shame at least.

And don't respond to this comment (for owners) pretending as if you care when we both know you only care about the money only.

Fyi, we paid 27eurs the night before on a sushi place, three different rolls and two Buns with shrimp, was so much better that this trash.

I almost cannot put into words how this place feels. Just to glaze over why I gave it five stars on every level, I will mention that the food is delicious and always so fresh, the service (being family owned and family run) is always inviting and competent, and the atmosphere is truly the kind of slice of New York that was missing from the heart of Athens. What sets this place apart, however, is the complete and total sense that you are no longer just a pedestrian hungry for a bite, but a character in a colorful film, in NY’s golden age. Very scarcely do you find a place whose aesthetic matches its quality like Nosh, and quite frankly it’s just so refreshing. Absolute excellence!!! The food is incredible. The service is even better. Comparing to Homer lobster in Paris, supposedly the best in the world, this place will give them a run for their money. I would say much better, not only is the service incredible but the food is way better. This is the taste of real lobster. We tried most things on the menu and everything was top-notch.
