I recently had the absolute pleasure of dining at Pizza Al Taglio in Athens and I must say, it was hands down the best pizza I have ever tasted! From the moment I entered the inviting establishment to the very last bite, everything about this place exceeded my expectations.
The ambiance at Pizza Al Taglio is warm and welcoming. The Owner Carmella is a sweetheart she greeted us with genuine smiles and made me feel right at home. The place exudes a cozy and comfortable atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a delightful meal.
Now, let's talk about their pizza! Oh my, where do I even begin?! The pizza at Pizza Al Taglio is a masterpiece in itself. The glorious flavors, the perfect crust, and the quality of ingredients used left me in awe. Each bite was a burst of culinary delight, and the combination of toppings was carefully balanced, enhancing the overall experience. Whether you're a meat lover or a vegetarian, Pizza Al Taglio has an extensive menu that caters to every palate.
Not only was the pizza exceptional, but their knowledgeable staff was also eager to assist in choosing the perfect combinations of toppings, ensuring a personalized and memorable dining experience. The chefs clearly pour their heart and soul into creating the most delectable and flavorful pizzas that you won't find anywhere else.
Moreover, the attention to detail and commitment to quality are evident in every dish served at this pizzeria. From the fresh and locally sourced ingredients to the light and crispy crust, it is evident that Pizza Al Taglio prioritizes excellence in every aspect of their culinary creations.
To top it all off, the prices at Pizza Al Taglio are incredibly reasonable, considering the exceptional quality and generous portion sizes. It's truly a fantastic value for money and a place where you can enjoy a fantastic meal without breaking the bank.
In conclusion, I cannot recommend Pizza Al Taglio highly enough. If you happen to be in Greece, make it a point to visit this delightful pizzeria. Your taste buds will thank you, I promise! Kudos to the entire team at Pizza Al Taglio for setting the bar so high in delivering an outstanding pizza experience. I am already looking...
Read moreI've lived in 4 countries and dined in both high end restaurants and casual spots across Europe since more than a decade, yet I never have come across such a rude owner. (not a coincidence that he criticises every review that's not 5 stars!) We randomly saw this pizza bar and decided to try it out. There was a completely empty picnic table outside, which, after a very hot day and a lot of walking decided to sit and wait while the previous people were finishing their order inside. I dared to take off the hat I was wearing and place it on the table, and a guy (who said is the owner of the place) decided to give me a lecture about me putting my "dirty hat" on a table. When trying to understand why that would be a problem since we were about to eat at the table (therefore naturally the table would need to be cleaned afterwards anyway), I was told that the table was occupied by the previous people ordering (there was nothing on or around the table whatsoever). I guess being in Greece I'm used to be treated in a friendly manner - you know, being a customer and everything. Unfortunately probably a non Greek (like the owner of this place) doesn't grasp what "customer oriented" attitude means, and probably thinks "making good pizza" is enough to treat potential customers with any sense of respect. I would bet serious money that once tourists leave for the winter, this restaurant is going to have a hard time to retain local clientele with this attitude. PS : the guy was smoking a huge STINKY cigar ON the table!
EDIT : answer to owner : How can someone who lectures their clients for daring to sit on the bench of the restaurant talk about manners? You're...
Read moreWe found this pizza place by searching for the best pizza in Athens. We had no idea what pizza from Rome is supposed to be like but we're surprised and curious to find out that this place serves previously cooked pizzas per slice for €4.90. My wife asked if they have freshly cooked pizza and the lady at the counter responded "what do you mean?! These pizzas are fresher than any pizza you have had". I was taken a back by the response as I did not expect such an abrupt and rude response and she continued on "this is pizza from Rome and this is the style. Have you never had pizza from Rome?". We told her that no but are all pizzas from Rome previously cooked and just heated up by slice? She said "yes. This is how we do it. Where are you from?!" I hope she was genuinely curious but given the context, it felt like she was implying we don't know what pizza is. Anyways, we politely thanked her and left the store and walked to Granella which was excellent. It is also noteworthy to note that we went around 9pm and there were zero customers seated and only one customer trying to pick up a slice. Overall I would not recommend this restaurant based on the atmosphere and the servers attitude. She needs to learn how to serve and sell her pizza's even if they...
