A Once-Vibrant Tiki Bar That's Lost Its Charm

I recently revisited the Tiki Bar in the Akropoli area, a place that used to be a go-to spot for me and my friends. Sadly, the experience left much to be desired. We opted to sit inside to catch up, but the deafeningly loud music made conversation nearly impossible, forcing us to shout even at a close distance. The next morning, I found myself nursing a sore throat from the unintended vocal strain.

The cocktails, once the highlight of this establishment, have lost their appeal. I ended up ordering a Negroni, expecting the distinctive flavors I used to enjoy, but it turned out disappointingly bland and far from what I anticipated. It's disheartening to see a place that was once known for its exceptional drinks fall short on both ambiance and beverage quality.

Despite having fond memories of this spot, my recent visit has left me questioning whether it's worth returning anytime soon. The Tiki Bar seems to have lost the touch that once made it a standout choice. Perhaps it's time for a reevaluation and some adjustments to bring back the charm that used to make it a favorite...

A great tropical bar in the area of Koukaki near Akropoli (or Syngrou-Fix) station. I ordered a Zombie and the glass was pretty big indeed. The only disadvantage was, that you had to ask to be given some popcorns along with your drink, when they were supposed to give you without asking. The place was packed, and this is a sign that they're doing something right...the music was loud...but what I noticed is, that the waitresses were kinda careless. They broke 3 glasses within 2 hours (the time I spent there)...what can I say?

For God's sake, I am not a crazy person to be annoyed by some broken glass. Just noticed and mentioned that. And now that I read again my review in sober mode, I saw that I mentioned "The music was loud"...of course, THAT'S A GREAT THING if you thought otherwise!!!

If the music's not loud, and the place isn't packed every Friday and Saturday night, then you might consider giving up your business. In this term you are doing...

Good atmosphere but awful service that ruins overall impression.

We took the last free table, very small and inside the bar, and asked a waitress to inform us once a better table on the terrace is released. After that, during the next 45 mins new guests were coming and asking for a free tables, and taking tables that have just been released by leaving guests. Our request was simply ignored.

We ordered two cocktails with the price 8 and 9 euros. One if them, Aloha, was a signature cocktail that means it is unique recipe provided by the bar. But the sum in the bill was 20 euros. We asked why the sum in the bill is higher and heard “You ordered the cocktail Zombie that costs 12 euros”. But we didn’t. We had ordered different position, and waitress mixed up our order. The most ridiculous in this story that instead of apologies we heard “you must pay for the cocktail Zombie because there was a piece of passion fruit inside and YOU HAD TO MENTION THAT AND RECOGNIZE THAT I BROUGHT YOU WRONG COCKTAIL”. Incredibly.
