Kentrikon Restaurant café — Restaurant in Municipality of Chania

We had some time to kill before driving over to the airport so we stopped here to watch the Olympics on the big screen outside. We had some coffees, lemonades, and an absolutely massive slice of chocolate cake! We weren't expecting the cake to be quite so large, or so well presented. This area is 'tourist trap' central so we were expecting to overpay for a small portion to be honest. The cake was €6, which is similar to anywhere else, and was absolutely a sharing portion. It came with cream and ice cream, was good quality and presented with pride.

The drinks are priced similarly to other places locally, and again, they were very good quality and not reduced in size. They were actually very reasonable for such a central location and cheaper than some of the less central cafes! You're paying for the location, the air conditioning, and comfortable outside space with TV and table service. We sat next to a very large fan, which was welcome in the afternoon stickiness.

Lastly, the service was impeccable. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. I didn't catch his name but he had partly bleached hair and was charm and service personified.

Overall, if you walked out of the old town to a suburb you'd maybe save 2 to 3 euros on the overall bill. This is not a 'tourist trap', and the few euros overall is worth it for the great service, the comfortable escape from the afternoon sun, and the quality of...

Me and my parents discovered this restaurant off the main High Street on our first night, and they are absolutely friendly. They don't collar you, try to entice you, or bother you when looking at their menu, a simple greeting is all that's given... Their food is juicy and wonderful, service is excellent, staff are friendly, happy, and respectful... The restaurant is well covered from the sun and well conditioned for the hot weather at this current time... I discovered the best burgers, milkshakes and meat I've ever had... Including all the holidays I've been on... I'd 200% give this a 10...

The waiters were talkative and funny, they also had a small chat with us. The restaurant itself, is really clean and nice too. If its hot outside, you dont have to worry, since the parasols and trees give you a nice, cool environment. Theres a big variety of food to choose from, including tradicional greek food, and international food like pizza or different types of pasta. The food was really fresh and tasty, and we really recommend it. The interior place is decorated and it looks iviting from the outside aswell.
