Good location - 15 mins walk from old town and 5 mins from Elli Beach. Beautiful, modern & very clean hotel. The beds were really comfy and rooms well equipped with everything you need in rooms. Slept really well - so quiet and small so hardly any noise. Staff were all really friendly. Food was usual hot and cold options - really good quality and fresh. Iced coffees were a great touch too! ||The pool area was comfy enough and well spaced out, very relaxed and never too crowded - you can even grab a Spritz or icy beer from the little bar while you’re sunbathing. ||Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because there was nothing going on after 4/5pm, the hotel became a bit too quiet - no ambience or anything going on come evening. There is a bar area and restaurant but it was only in use at breakfast time & was always empty and dark come evening time - they even have comfy chairs outside but not enough.. felt like a wasted space / opportunity - just having somewhere to sit with a nightcap or for a bit of ambience in the lobby would make this hotel even better. That said it’s only a minor thing as there are plenty of places to go nearby.||Recommend visiting old town at night for food and drinks… it’s beautiful we loved Mezzeluna and Hermes for the best food and so many places for cocktails or good wine at night. ||The beach club at Grand Casino (elli beach area) was fantastic - definitely recommend very clean comfy good value and spot on beach not rowdy at all (don’t waste your time at Ronda - looks great if you pop in for a drink but it’s totally overrated) ||Also there is a sunset cruise from harbour - Romantika - it’s stunning - absolutely perfect way to spend an evening if you love sunsets and good...
Read moreBest hotel I have ever stayed in! The location is absolutely brilliant. It’s a 20 minute walk to the old town of Rhodes, a 5 minute walk to Nikiforou Mandilara - a street which has loads of amazing restaurants, and a 5 minute walk to the beach. It’s also about 10 minutes walking to the harbour area where you can do day trips on the boat. The hotel itself is fantastic too. We got a free upgrade upon arrival and were given a larger room as well as greeted with a bottle of wine. It also came with two free bottles of still water. The room was extremely spacious and had everything we needed, from beach towels, hand towels, slippers, bath towels, fridges to air conditioning. The beds were comfortable and there was a choice of a firmer or softer pillow. The cleaners were great and made the beds very neatly everyday and even folded up our pyjamas for us! The breakfast was good and varied, I really enjoyed the marble and the orange cake! You could sit inside the bar area or outside on the terrace. The pool area was also great, the pool was so clear and looked cool with ripples. It was a great size and never got busy. The sunloungers were also really comfortable! The bar area outside was great and the bartender very kindly made us custom mocktails which were delicious and cheap! The receptionists were also very accommodating, booking taxis for us and allowing us to use the pool on the last day (after we checked out) whilst we waited for our evening flight. They also had plug sockets and a seating area which was convenient for waiting for the taxi. We loved our stay and would...
Read moreWe had a great week staying there, and would happily visit again. The staff were all friendly and helpful (gave us a beer when we arrived because it looked like we needed it), and our room was spacious with a comfortable seating area. Everything was very clean and tidy, though there were a couple of minor bits of the building work that had been a little rough and ready like the window between bedroom and lounge area. ||For breakfast there was the usual choice of hot or cold buffet items, or freshly cooked omelettes, and you could sit inside or outside on a terrace at the front of the hotel. There were a couple of neighbourhood cats nearby, but there were friendly and well behaved while hoping for a fuss and bit of a treat. The pool area at the rear was also good and catches the sun till mid afternoon but then goes into shade. That might be handy in peak season though. ||It was a walkable distance from Rhodes old town (15 minutes) or the harbour, and if you didn’t want to go far then it was very easy to get to the beach. There’s a great Greek restaurant almost opposite, and a cluster of other bars and eateries on the main street nearby (for cheap and tasty Gyros try Mr G’s). For something more pricey, wander up to Ronda beach bar. There wasn’t any noise though, and we slept well. If you have a hire car, parking on the streets nearby is straightforward enough and it’s easy to get to the rest of the island from here. Again, we were very happy...
