Lousy service. Long wait. Average food. Terrible toilet.

UPDATE: If you need to see a sample of their unprofessional attitude, then just read their response below. Obviously, they have no idea what good waiting service looks like, a good waitress confirms she understands the order before she places it with the kitchen. A bad one blames the customer for her bringing the wrong item to the table and goes back repeatedly while trying to pick a fight with them over it...

They also blamed customers for their own failure to provide toileting facilities of a professional standard: there were shoe prints on the toilet seat, a broken toilet roll dispenser, water sprinkled all over the sink surface and the door didn't lock. It was pure nightmare spending 1.5 hours here (because they are so slow). To top it all up, to make personal comments about customers, honestly, does it get more unprofessional than this? Anyway, I've taken some medication and have already had a large bottle of water to deal with the effects of their noodles.

Apparently, it's also customers' fault for giving them business with which they are unable to cope, so do them a favour and go somewhere else. It's apparently our fault as well that they have more tables than they can serve in a timely manner. And, no, there was no queue when we arrived.

FURTHER UPDATE: Yes, your waitress came back to the table several times while obviously annoyed and insisted that I had ordered the wrong dish in an annoyed tone. She got into an argument about it. It was actually my mother that placed the order. Your service, as well as sarcastic reply, are thoroughly unprofessional. The glowing reviews that you get reflect the low level of the dining scene in Thessaloniki, which doesn't even make the D list. The sushi, with cooked salmon and tons of sauces, is not even Japanese.

Having looked at the company ownership details, I am guessing this is one of the owners of the business replying, which was a guy sitting by the till on the day playing with this phone and chewing gum. My husband and I decided we wanted sushi for our cheat day and saw this sushi place had 5 star reviews and a lot of praise. There was indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was friendly and prompt, we got our food quickly. Was very clean.

We got two miso soups, 3 chicken boa and 4 rolls: tuna roll, salmon nigiri, hot prospect roll and spicy shrimps roll.

The miso soup was good. The rolls on the other hand were definitely not the best in our opinion. They weren’t bad but we were a bit confused by the reviews. The rolls were a little warm, something off about the rice for us as well. The nigiri should’ve had a little less rice, the ratio was off. Everything seemed not so fresh, almost like the rolls were pre made and refrigerated or frozen? Cannot put our finger on it. The bao were a saving grace. They were so good and we thoroughly enjoyed them. They actually should considered having a fish option in addition to their tofu and chicken option.

We’ve had sushi from all over the world and while it was not the best we’d definitely be back. ( probably for the bao )The price did fit the quality though and helped with how we felt about the rolls. Our order came to less than 50 euros which is unheard of for sushi restaurants, at least ones...

I'm really disappointed. I ordered from Empire Sushi bar today and it was frankly not very good.

The rice tasted like they did not even put salt in the cooking water, let alone they would have seasoned it with rice vinegar. There was very little fish and very much rice in this sushi, so every bite was just very bland and I found myself reaching for the pickled ginger to add some taste to my dish.

I was excited for the specific rolls I had ordered, but the mayo shrimp tempura had way too much mayo. Additionally the tempura batter was way too thick and the shrimp seemed unseasoned. The honey yuzu roll contained tomato and carrot that were just really sweet. I appreciate the creativity but the flavours were not very balanced in this one.
