People who come from the United States or Europe may think that this place is beautiful and that they are going to save a lot of money,! but really cheap ends been expensive! The place is very nice, and the decoration really pretty unfortunately the customer service is terrible. I paid for 54 dishes i order different appetizer for my guest in the past we been using 7 caldos and order appetizers for our parties and the size of the appetizers are small then a normal one but still perfect! The ones from troccoli was really small like a toy size wich it was a joke for everyone there, and more expensive then the normal size! Then like I said I paid for 54 guest. two of my guests left early without the opportunity to eat and one person was missing 5 people in my family arrived late and when I asked for their dishes to be served they had already been paid ! They refused and told me that all the dishes had been served, which is a lie.!!! The refusal of this place is really disappointing. The worst thing is that I had to pay for a service and per person and then they refuse, to serve because some members arrive late, making excuses and I had to pay extra for pizzas for my guests who arrived late, really the excuses and everything for not available to serve the dishes is very sad! and disappointing! Guatemala is a very beautiful country but unfortunately the customer service is bad or non-existent. Honestly, in the United States you may spend more but the customer service experience is always better! My husband, who is American, still doesn't believe that he charged us for plates and then refused to serve them, with the excuse that maybe someone grabbed two plates! Obviously the waiters are not stupid and they have been train like the military in this restaurant and would never do that!!! Well, it's something to thinking twice about it! I add the photo of the normal appetizers at 7 caldos and the second one from...
Read moreI found the quality of the food to be overpriced for what was delivered. I ordered the Puyazo Alla Griglia, which came with puré de papa campesino and sautéed vegetables. Unfortunately, the steak was a bit of a letdown. Instead of receiving one proper steak, they served me two steaks that were as thin as paper. The fat was excessively thick, and the meat itself had the firmness of cardboard. The fat was raw and the meat was overcooked.
To make matters worse, I had asked for the steak to be cooked rare, but what I got was overcooked. Therefore, I sent it back to the kitchen. The second steaks had the same problem. It is important to understand by the kitchen staff that paper-thin steaks never will be rare or medium rare due to the thickness of the protein.
On a positive note, the decor was lovely, and our waitress provided excellent service. However, at the end of the day, the quality and flavor of the food are what really count for the...
Read moreI don't know why Google describes this place as a restaurant - and the recension is for a hotel?
My opinion is ONLY for the restaurant:
First time I had a look inside it was impressed by the wide selection of bottles. A few days later we are heading back for a early dinner. I love and really miss my favourite starter at our old, family driven, lovely Italian Restaurant: simple Bruschetta... It wasn't the same, but it's tasting a little bit like home. We shared and giving both thumbs up! The mains were Pasta- Lasagne and Spaghetti. I've missed the Bechamel in the Lasagne , but hey - other continents, other receipts. And I learned Lasagne tastes w/o Bechamel too. The Vino Tinto de la Casa was excellent for Pasta. I would recommend and take my friends to...
