Our two and a half hour lunch (extremely slow, sloppy, rude service and poor execution) had all the mistakes in the book to be awarded five stars for terrible service.
White wine was warm, inattentive and rude staff that believe that they are doing you a favor vrs try to accommodate customer requests...some examples include: -The chef/bartender trying to defend a vinegar like, undrinkable white wine and still making fun of us behind our back. -My wife asking for salt and being told that already had enough of it. -There is no menu except for a big black board that the waiter expects you to know it like he does -My beer taking more than 30 minutes to arrive -My son asking for a little more sauce for their very dry duck and being told that he was given the correct amount and they couldn't give him more sauce. -All the surrounding tables complaining of slow service, not having about 25% of the items on the menu because out of stock and “warm white wine” -The only one bathroom for men and women without a lock.
All in, a so so food, in a cute place with one of the worst service I have ever encountered in Antigua.
Good thing is that there are many good restaurants in Antigua that you dont...
Read moreSome of the worst service I’ve ever had. I can’t remember ever visiting somewhere and being treated so poorly by the hostess and servers…. We made a reservation weeks beforehand and were celebrating our honeymoon. When we arrived the hostess said we did not have a reservation and implied we were lying about making one… she then proceeded to seat us at the worst table in the venue, right next to the order window where the food was delivered to waitstaff even though the restaurant was empty. It was a weekend night so we figured maybe the restaurant would fill up quickly and the other tables were reserved? No. We were at the restaurant 6-8pm and only 3 other tables filled.
The hostess came by again to make several comments, implying we were tourists and if we were “enjoying our first time in Antigua”… we have been to Antigua several times, perhaps she felt we were not the clientele she wanted? Very bizarre gatekeeping for a restaurant.
Such a shame because the food was delicious and the chef quite talented but the rude hostess really ruined our night… when the bill came with gratuity already added for our 2-person party… just go...

It is a beautiful place, and the food prepared by the cooker (I forgot to ask his name) was delicious and perfectly cooked and well presented!!!! Until.... We finished our bottle of wine and asked for 2 glasses of the same wine (that was also offered in the menu by the glass), and Mr. Mattia Bellucci (we didn’t know who he was because even though he was around he never say hello neither introduced himself, I just found out in the web he is the owner and chef...) said that we couldn’t have that wine by the glass because that was the menu from last week and he refused to open a bottle of that one... The problem was not the wine, the issue that bothered us the most was his rudeness towards the employees and to us!!!!
