Bamba Marha is by far my favorite burger place in Budapest. I frequently go to the ones in Astoria, Deak and Széll Kálmán.
My wife and me were Westend today and was craving for my beast-loved, the big Kahuna. My wife is vegetarian and she wanted her usual, the cheese burger with the beyond meat patty. I will be specific on every detail of my bad experience here, sit tight.
I went to the counter and first order my wife's cheese burger with the beyond meat patty and asked if the could put her beef patty in my burger. The cashier said he's ask the cook to which he turned around and got a negative answer. We were perplexed, it's what we always do in the other Bambas. So I asked if we could have my wife's beef patty in a plate and she cashier said it wasn't possible either. We didn't understand what was happening!
I explained the cashier that in the menu it's understood that the beyond meat patty is an extra and that I would be paying the full price for the cheese burger that has a beef patty. I complained that as it wasn't a reduced price, we had all the right to that beef patty. The cashier just made a face, said he was sorry and added 'that's how things are like'.
We were disappointed yet hungry and could only agree to his terms. Proceeding with the order, I order a small menu for my wife and a big menu for me, the repeated it twice to make sure as he didn't read my order before printing it to proceed with the payment. Unfortunately, the cashier put small menus for both of us in the system and we only realized of that while waiting in the table for our order.
The order came fast but I was dejected to see the small portion of fries and the small cup that come with the small menu. Lastly, we sat near the counter and could see how the staff lack sense of duty. The cashier was chatting with someone (a friend we assume) who was on the other side of the counter and the people in the kitchen were every now and then eating nachos from a container. It was all startling to see.
All in all, I still wonder what happened to my wife's beef patty. The only answer is that here in Westend, the beyond meat patty is not a extra but a replacement, just like the Angus (?). Quite expensive if you ask me. Whether that is not the case, what happens to that beef patty in the...
Read moreI recently visited Bamba Marha and was blown away by the incredible food and service. From the moment we walked in, the staff were friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We decided to try the season's offerings and were not disappointed - the Hütte burger was delicious, with a perfectly cooked patty and all the toppings perfectly balanced. The rest of the meal was equally impressive, with every dish being cooked to perfection. The ambiance was also great, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Overall, we had an amazing experience at Bamba Marha and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience.

Read moreTerrible service, small sandwich (in my case it was burned also) , price doesn't worth the portion size and the quality. Go to Zing burger, mcdonald's or burger king. Cashier asked me if I want angus beef, and I said yes and my sandwich became very expensive (2490ft+890ft) and guess what!? They sold me the bread and the sandwich ingredients (without the patty) for 2490 and one patty for 890! And just to let you know 890ft is for EXTRA patty (but they replace my original meat with Angus and there was no extra)! ARE YOU SERIOUS? If you are tourist or foreigners don't go there because they will think your are dummy and ready to show MANY MISUNDERSTANDING to RIP YOU OFF. this place is...
