Cafe Frei Westend — Restaurant in Budapest

I like Cafe Frei and I have been a loyal customer for years.

This shop made me disappointed in many ways. At first not enough staff to run the place. One lady was talking the orders and was responsible to make the drinks too. She decided to take orders from newly coming people and we who were waiting for long mins already for our drinks still had to wait more. I had to wait 20 mins to get 2 take away drinks. The point of the take away was to go and catch our train rather than sitting and enjoying the place. Guess, I had to accept the I will miss my next train or loose over 3000 HUF and leave the place without any drinks. What a terrible service from Cafe Frei! I didn't judge the lady who was alone in the shop. I am wondering why the other employee lady was so busy sitting on her computer at the back in the corner/ behind the bar at the same time. If you would have cared about you paying customers you should have jumped in and helped out the working lady!

Our drinks were not nice. Never happened in Cafe Frei before that I wasn't happy. For take way cup they didn't have the lid either.

Left unhappy, angry and unsatisfied. I don't recommend people to bother ordering here anything because of the unexpected...

I like this small coffee chain, because you get a good coffee for a reasonable price.

Drink You can choose between a lot of different coffee choices. Even for the Espresso they offer approximately 8 different types. This time I tried Szicilian Espresso for 490 HUF, which was made with some orange peel. The taste of the Espresso was good and the crema solid. All in all you will not be dissapointet.

Café and location This one is located in the Westend Shopping Center downstairs at the food court. There are some seating options but not so much.

Service It is self ordering system and the waiter was not that friendly like in the other branches. Unfortunately I got a paper cup instead of a real hot one and the waiter was not that friendly as in...

I came to the city as a tourist and having visited so many lovely places this was the worst experience. There were two girls there and I pointed at the cake and asked her for it (these were for sale) and she refused to serve me and said not for sale. Then my daughter went and stood there and they ignored her I then asked again are all these cakes for display and they said yes. The cakes were all priced. They are going to cost the business a lot of money and may force it to close because of their behaviour and very very rude discriminatory behaviour. Budapest is beautiful but these girls working there are so rude they should have nicer staff who know...
