Vapiano — Restaurant in Budapest

What a bad experience! We have visited the restaurant for the first time today. When we entered a receptionist gave us 2 cards and talked to other people waving to us to enter. We had not have a clue (as we were not there before and there are no instructions at all) what we should do. We have approached a kind staff member, who then explained we choose from the menu and they will put it on those cards and you supposed to pay at the entrance according to the content of your card! We ordered pasta and I asked the chef if we needed both cards as we were planning to pay together. He said one card is enough I therefore left the card with him. After we had our meals we approached the till to pay. The exact same receptionist told me that she can not let us leave as we did not have the second card! I explained to her that we were not familiar with the restaurant and it’s rules and we left the extra card with the pasta chef. She become very rude and told me that she has to charge us and we can not leave!!! That point 2 ladies behind us started to tell that they actually found the card at the pats chef and there was no meals charged on therefore they can prove my story. The receptionist just ignored them my husband and I started to feel very bad and asked for the manager. She was extremely untrained, very rude and unkind. The manager come and he understood that we had the other card with all the drinks and food loaded on, he apologized on behalf of the receptionist but we certainly never again want to experience such treatment! If they just put some signs up how the system works, we certainly would know what to do or what not to do! It was humiliating and receptionist needs a training, they must ask if the customer knows the system or not as it is not an “usual“ way to order and pay in ...

The restaurant have two complexes- a dessert complex and an Italian food complex. We ate pastas in the Italian complex. The place is very nicely designed, looks clean and new. The kitchen is located in front of the customers and the staff can be seen cooking the food. The concept - the customer choose pasta shape and sauce. The dishes (2 pasta dishes) were ready quickly. Pungi pasta with extra pesto and pasta arbiata. Both pasta dishes were with too much garlic-flavored and I recommend any customer in the restaurant to ask for a reduction in garlic or to ask the meal without garlic at all. The pastas were undercooked. The portions are very large and the prices are cheap. The place looked very inviting and beautifull but the the level of the food was low standard. There are better places in budapest with italian food.

המסעדה בעלת שני מתחמים- מתחם קינוחים ומתחם אוכל איטלקי. אנחנו הזמנו שתי מנות פסטה במתחם האיטלקי. המקום מעוצב מאד יפה ונראה מזמין ונקי. המטבח ממוקם מול הלקוחות וניתן לראות את הצוות מבשל את האוכל. הקונספט הוא סטייל "פסטה בסטה" - בוחרים צורת פסטה ורוטב בקופה. המנות היו מוכנות מהר. הזמנו פסטה פונגי עם תוספת פסטו ופסטה ארביאטה. שתי המנות פסטה היו מפוצצות בשום ואני ממליצה למי שאוכל במסעדה לבקש מראש להפחית בכמות השום או לבקש ללא שום. הפסטות לא היו מבושלות עד הסוף. המנות מאד גדולות. המחיר זול (בערך 55 ש"ח לשתי המנות). המקום יפה ומושקע מבחינה עיצובית אבל האוכל היה ברמה...

Igazából mindig is ki szerettem volna próbálni ezt a helyet, és egy nagy utazás előtt úgy gondoltuk a pàrommal menjünk és együnk valami finomat!!! Bàtran mondhatom hogy frekventàlt helyen van, 2 bejárati lehetőséggel, mi az utca fronton tàmadtunk, de a Westend belső részéből is meg közelíthető, ahogy làttam az akadàly mentesítés megoldott, így mindenki kényelmesen el tudja érni. Ahogy tudom nemrégiben masszív felújításon esett àt a hely, mind a kialakitàs, mind a dizájn nekünk tetszett, de ember válogatja kinek milyen az izlése. A szerviz része gyors, de ez is változhat mind az időpont, és a hatalmas ember tömeg esetén! Az ételek..... Igazából ez egy olasz stílusú gyorsétterem, rengeteg egyszerűbb tészta van az étlapon, könnyen àtlàtható, és a mai àrak mellett igazából teljesen korrektnek mondható. A pàrom vàlasztàsa egy Pomodoro e Mozarella /paradicsomos mozarella tészta volt, én pedig egy laza Bolognese-t választottam màr csak azért, hogy a sajàtommal is legyen összehasonlítás. Mind a tàlalàs, mind az ízek kivàlóak voltak, belekötni nem igen lehet, hiszen pontosan azt kaptam amit kértem, a tészta nem szétfőtt, a szósz nem túlfűszerezett, egy könnyű ebédnek abszolút remek volt! A személyzet kedves és felkészült, volt lehetőségem az üzletvezetővel beszélni, korrekt tájékoztatàst kaptam bármilyen kérdésere, látszott hogy érti a dolgàt, tehàt ez is pipa... A mosdó àllapota hàl istennek rendben volt, tiszta, takarítanak rendesen, nemkell félve a kilincshez vagy bármi máshoz nyúlnunk egy esetleges fertőzéstöl tartva. Összessegeben kellemes csalódás volt és bàtran merem ajánlani bàrkinek aki egy könnyű és finom olaszos paradicsomos tesztàs étel szeretne elfogyasztani!!! Mi visszatérünk amint lessz lehetőség! Köszönjük szépen! Actually, I’ve always wanted to try this place, and before a big trip, my couple and I thought we’d go and eat something delicious !!! I can safely say that it is in a frequented place, with 2 entrances, we attacked on the street front, but it can also be approached from the inside of the Westend, as I saw the obstacle clearance resolved, so everyone can reach it comfortably. As I know, the site has recently undergone a massive renovation, we liked both the design and the design, but people choose who tastes good. The service part is fast, but it can change for both the time and the huge crowd! The food ..... It’s actually an Italian-style fast food restaurant, there’s plenty of simpler pasta on the menu, it’s easy to see, and it’s really completely fair at today’s prices. My couple's choice was a Pomodoro e Mozarella / tomato mozzarella pasta, and I chose a loose Bolognese just to make a comparison with my own. Both the toppings and the flavors were excellent, you can't tie it in, because I got exactly what I asked for, the pasta wasn't overcooked, the sauce wasn't over-seasoned, it was absolutely great for a light lunch! The staff is kind and prepared, I had the opportunity to talk to the store manager, I got the correct information for any questions, it seemed that he understood, so this is a check mark ... to reach someone else for fear of an infection. All in all, it was a pleasant disappointment and I dare to recommend it to anyone who wants to eat a light and delicious Italian tomato test dish !!! We will be back as soon as possible! Thank...
