Colosseum Restaurant — Restaurant in Budapest

The lady at the door of the restaurant is always trying to invite customers and talks sweet initially. We asked her if she has any vegetarian pizza and she showed us some options and we chose one. When the pizza came after a few minutes, we sensed something strange and asked the cook what it was and he saif it is fish and we asked the lady why she gave us a pizza with fish while we specified that we want "pure vegetarian" food only. Then she was unexpectedly very rude and said that ingredients are written on the menu and you chose it so it is your problem, while the truth was that she suggested that option as vegetarian dish. She was even so rude that she suggested that we take out the fish and eat the rest of the pizza. It was only the cook that offered to replace the pizza with a vegetarian one and we could eat our meal. Another lady inside the restaurant was also polite to accept that the mistake was from the first lady.

Anyway, the restaurant itself is good and the good is good at reasonable price but the lady at the restaurant is very rude and just wants to make money without any consideration to customer satisfaction as most of the customers are tourists and may...

Myself and my partner came to Colosseum because of the good reviews- after closer inspection I see now that all these reviews are fake. The meal was very disappointing, Italians doing the bare minimum here. We ordered the 'Italian Starter' which we were told would be a selection of meats, cheeses, tomatoes etc. Some average cheeses with a couple of slices of salami and value pack ham from the supermarket- for 5300HUF, ridiculous. I ordered the calzone which was completely overpowered by the anchovies, my partner ordered the tre gusto (the slices of cheap ham again, chicken, pepperoni) and the toppings were placed in separate parts of the pizza instead of mixed together? Service was also bad. We were the only people in the restaurant and waited very long for our starter, at no point during the meal did the waiter check on us and we had to ask for the bill as there was no sign of him coming to clear our plates. We both work in hospitality so it's rare that we would complain, but we were so disappointed with what we got for the price we paid that I felt we needed to leave a review and save others from making the...

Horrible service, super smug waitress.

We ordered and waited 60 minutes. Saw all the tables around us get their food. Our waitress made eye contact with me several times and refused to stop by or even ask if we need anything. Finally after an hour my husband flagged her to ask about the food and they said “due to system error” the food was not inputted yet!!! Hello she saw me 100 times walking past my table, and did not think to check on the table? Horrible service. And after all this we asked to pay the check and cancel the food and they still made us to pay 1 beer and 1 coke instead of acknowledging their mistake.

Not sure if this is since we are American. the Italian table next to us was treated with amazing hospitality. We barely got a hello, she actually threw the coke in the glass I thought it was going to spill.
