I have been to Jouri twice in the last 2 weeks, so I will leave this review for both times we ate there. The first time we had the table by the door and we froze. They do not have proper space at the entrance to receive the clients, so everyone is getting stuck waiting for someone to talk to with the door open. They don't have proper heating I suppose. I only saw some small heating device, which is clearly now enough. My chicken tajine sauce was terribly salty. I did not wanted to waste it and they could not have done another portion as this type of food takes long to cook, so I asked for more couscous to be able to have the sauce. Later we changed the table, and the manager did not charge for the tagine and gave us the tea on the house. We ordered morrocan mint tea, and they gave us green tea, until we spoke with them, but even then the tea was not what we both knew it should be. The second time, we decided to dine in on New Year's Day as we thought the food was good the first time, excluding the chicken tajine that was salty. We had the table in the back by the window, and still we had to ask for a blanket. My Kebab Ezmerli was good, but the rice was barely warm. My friend got the lamb tajine. The meat portion was definitely smaller, and she said the taste was different too (this was her 3rd time to have the same tajine and both times she loved it). They did not charge us for the tajine, but overall, the experience was not good. When we were ready to order, the waiter told us out of the blue that we shouldn't be sitting at that table, and she just left us and went to check. When she came back, she said it was ok. We are not going to go back this winter unless they have proper heating or will have to dress like going to ski. It's such a pity as the place seems to have potential and is full all the time. Would be great to improve on the following: Heating definitely install a heating curtain to prevent cold air coming in when the door is open Service (multiple waiters coming to ask for the order and drinks) proper reception area morrocan mint tea is sacred (it was mixed with too much green tea, therefore bitter)

I appreciate the following: the first time we went there, the manager was receptive and listened when we said the tajine was salty they did not charge and recognised their mistake toilets are decent food presentation was good atmosphere was ok (leaving out the fact that we were cold all the time)

I will go back sometimes only because I love morrocan food, not sure about my...

Exceptional Dining Experience at Jouri – Elevated by Outstanding Service

This review has been long overdue since my visit to Jouri in January. As a restaurant, Jouri excels in every aspect—delicious and authentic Lebanese cuisine, a beautifully curated ambiance, and an overall inviting atmosphere. However, what truly makes the experience 1000% better is the exceptional service provided by Niki Aslan.

Niki’s presence transformed an already excellent dining experience into something truly phenomenal. Her ability to speak multiple languages effortlessly bridged any communication gaps, making the evening seamless and enjoyable. More impressively, her in-depth knowledge of Lebanese cuisine, from ingredients to preparation, allowed me to navigate the menu with confidence. This not only enhanced my personal dining experience but also allowed me to impress my clients by selecting the best dishes, which they thoroughly enjoyed.

Beyond her expertise, Niki embodies the highest standards of customer service—attentive, personable, and genuinely invested in ensuring a remarkable dining experience. Her recommendations were spot-on, and her enthusiasm for hospitality was evident in every interaction.

If you are planning to visit Jouri, I highly recommend requesting Niki. Her dedication and professionalism set a gold standard in service, making her an invaluable asset to the restaurant. Jouri is already a fantastic establishment, but with Niki’s presence, it becomes truly...

The first Moroccan restaurant in Budapest, and Osama did it again. My Moroccan friends visited before and they confirmed it is authentic so I reserved a table on the Restaurant Week where they served a fixed menu. Starting with a mezze with 5 small portions, each of them tasted amazing especially the hummus with pesto & pistachio. They also served a fresh brioche bun with it and eating everything on the plate nearly filled me up. For the main I chose the beef tagine which was a huge portion I could barely finish it but man it tasted so intense and special - the beef was super soft, and all the veggies with almonds, dates created a perfect harmony. They also served saffron rice with it mathcing the flavours. As the dessert I took the pistachio baclava with vanilla ice cream it was great but nothing special (just like the passion fruit-hybiscus lemonade we drank) But my friend took the cheesecake and surprisingly it was one of the best I ever had! The atmosphere is also super cool and the service was also kind & attentive. They splitted the invoice without issues, and you can also pay by SZÉP card. Overall I strongly recommend the restaurant if you like to try new cuisines, I am sure I am going to return in the future.

We had our team-building event at Byblos today and it was a wonderful experience. The service was excellent – we didn’t have to wait long for drinks or food, which was very much appreciated. For starters, we had cheese sambusak, grilled halloumi, and hummus. The halloumi was definitely our favorite – perfectly grilled and full of flavor. For mains, we tried the shish taouk, which was absolutely delicious – the chicken was tender and melted in the mouth. We also had the shish kebab, which was tasty but the meat could have been a bit more tender. The Arayess Toska had a slightly sour taste, which wasn’t to everyone’s liking. For dessert, we had the Byblos baklava, which was amazing, while one of our colleagues tried the kunafa and found it a bit too dry. The lemonade, coffee, and wine were all excellent as well. Overall, we had a great time and highly recommend Byblos for delicious Lebanese food and great service!
