I have been to Jouri twice in the last 2 weeks, so I will leave this review for both times we ate there. The first time we had the table by the door and we froze. They do not have proper space at the entrance to receive the clients, so everyone is getting stuck waiting for someone to talk to with the door open. They don't have proper heating I suppose. I only saw some small heating device, which is clearly now enough. My chicken tajine sauce was terribly salty. I did not wanted to waste it and they could not have done another portion as this type of food takes long to cook, so I asked for more couscous to be able to have the sauce. Later we changed the table, and the manager did not charge for the tagine and gave us the tea on the house. We ordered morrocan mint tea, and they gave us green tea, until we spoke with them, but even then the tea was not what we both knew it should be. The second time, we decided to dine in on New Year's Day as we thought the food was good the first time, excluding the chicken tajine that was salty. We had the table in the back by the window, and still we had to ask for a blanket. My Kebab Ezmerli was good, but the rice was barely warm. My friend got the lamb tajine. The meat portion was definitely smaller, and she said the taste was different too (this was her 3rd time to have the same tajine and both times she loved it). They did not charge us for the tajine, but overall, the experience was not good. When we were ready to order, the waiter told us out of the blue that we shouldn't be sitting at that table, and she just left us and went to check. When she came back, she said it was ok. We are not going to go back this winter unless they have proper heating or will have to dress like going to ski. It's such a pity as the place seems to have potential and is full all the time. Would be great to improve on the following: Heating definitely install a heating curtain to prevent cold air coming in when the door is open Service (multiple waiters coming to ask for the order and drinks) proper reception area morrocan mint tea is sacred (it was mixed with too much green tea, therefore bitter)
I appreciate the following: the first time we went there, the manager was receptive and listened when we said the tajine was salty they did not charge and recognised their mistake toilets are decent food presentation was good atmosphere was ok (leaving out the fact that we were cold all the time)
I will go back sometimes only because I love morrocan food, not sure about my...
