Pine - Coffee & More — Restaurant in Budapest

As specialty coffee lovers, we're always on the lookout for unforgettable brews – and Pine instantly caught our eye with its unique menu and cozy charm. From the moment we stepped inside, we were warmly welcomed by the friendliest owners, who generously offered complimentary tastings of their homemade pine cone and spruce tip syrups, explaining their flavor profiles and ideal pairings.

Since it was a warm day, we went for iced pine cone lattes – just wow! The Brazilian coffee sweetened by the earthy, slightly woody notes of the pine cone syrup atop cold, creamy milk, was an experience like no other. Out of all the coffees (and honestly, all the drinks) we tried in Budapest, this was THE highlight.

Originally planning to grab our coffees to go, we got "trapped" inside by a sudden rain shower – and we're so glad we did. The cozy atmosphere, the music, and the lovely conversations with the owners made it feel like time stood still. We lingered, relaxed, sampled more drinks, and enjoyed the vibes.

Our experience here was incredible. We met the owner, Bianca, and her partner and they were happy to help educate us when we had questions. Their homemade pine spruce tip and pinecone syrups were so unique and incredibly delicious. We even asked to buy some directly which they are working on bottling. There is just so much care in the quality of ingredients and the experience they provide to their customers. The espresso is freshly ground, but the care begins way before the bean enters the store since they hand picked which roast they wanted from a local specialty roastery. The quality of the bean, milk, and homemade syrup made for one of the most incredible lattes I’ve ever had. I wish we lived here. This would no question be my go-to local shop if we did. The decor and atmosphere here was special. Truly boosted our experience...

Pine & Dine is such a hidden gem—absolutely obsessed with the vibe here. The atmosphere is so cosy, with soft jazz playing in the background that makes you instantly feel at ease. It’s the kind of place that invites you to slow down and just be.

One thing I really appreciated was how accommodating and thoughtful the space is—there are feminine products available in the bathroom, which just speaks volumes about the care and consideration behind this place. It’s those little details that make a space feel safe and seen.

And don’t even get me started on the banana bread—moist, perfectly sweet, and genuinely some of the best I’ve ever had. The staff are lovely too—warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do. You can tell this place is built with love.
