Reply after Restaurantier responded - Take bad review with a pinch of salt and try to improve, instead of calling your customers that they will never be satisfied. You need to eat at other restaurants to know how honey chili potato and dal makhni are cooked and you would know better than what you are serving for the price you are charging. Also to add, My husband wanted to share this review then and there but you did not wait for him to share and left after I told you my concern for the food not being spicy.

The food taste was very average. Not close to Indian taste at all. We ordered 3 dishes. Honey chili potatoes which was lacking taste and the potatoes were boiled and cut in cubes. Dal Makhni was under cooked and was not creamy at all plus had so many other lentils in it, zero taste. Mirch Masala special spicy chicken was bland and sweet. They was nothing special. Plus the Breads we ordered were served cold. They also served a diff bread than our order but were quick and apologetic enough to bring in the correct one and this was served hot. The only thing I liked was the Mocktail I ordered. Rest restaurant is really beautiful, good staff and at a perfect location. But will not go again for this taste when I am paying too much for tasteless food with a very small...

Mirch Masala was right opposite my hostel and for the two nights I stayed in Budapest, I went to eat dinner there both nights. The first night was Diwali, I was really missing my family and came here to eat Indian food and feel a little close to home. They were offering everyone ladoos and gulab jaamun on the occasion of Diwali and I started tearing up. It was the kindest gesture and made me feel like I was part of celebrating the festival w the restaurant peeps. I ordered gobi munchurian and it was fantastic! The next night, I went back again and ordered paneer tikka masala and butter roti. It was EXCELLENT. When I tell you I have been looking for this in Europe for so long, I am not kidding. This hit all the craving spots and I wish I could experience it again. I also got a chance to chat it up with the restaurant owner’s sister and she was super super sweet. She even remembered that I came the night before (and so did the other people at the restaurant!). Everything was a 11/10 experience and Mirch Masala is one of the restaurants where I would come back to Budapest only to...

We stumbled upon the the venue on our first night out. The owners, cubby (sorry if spelt wrong) & Anand were amazing, very friendly and welcoming. They provided valuable advise on places to visit during our stay. The venue inside was very clean with tasteful decor and plentyfull sesating downstairs. lovely selection of hot and cold drinks were on offer. Had ordered a masala tea and was blown away on authentic flavour which reminded me of how my grandmother used to make it. So we ended up visiting multiple times to try the varity of other items on the menu. At the point of visiting, the new food menu would go live on the day after we were leaving. Absolutely gutted! As we shown the menu on what would be avaliable. The variety and authentic Indian flavours sounds mouthwatering. If you enjoy Indian food and want outstanding service, this is 100% one of the nicest places to visit. Location also is very convenient, short walk from the train/tram stop. The owners are genuinely some of the best people we met on our visit and I highly recommend this place to anyone...

I might be Hungarian, but I am very particular about desi food. Most indian restaurants in Budapest are lackluster. This will be a new fave on the list. For sure the menu is outstanding with the selection not seen anywhere else. Prices are good for the quality you get. I loved basically everything about the place. The servers were nice, had knowledge about the menu, were able to make good recommendations. We were served quickly. The portion is decent. The food is amazing, the Mirch Masala special is a must to try. The cocktail selection again is quite unique, it was served in a very nice and stylish way which matched the vibe of the place. We were told the menu will be expanded, can’t wait to see more items to try. Thanks for the food, the place is a recommend. Keep it up please.
