Cons: went there with high expectations due to 4.9 Google Reviews chef claimed he is doing the best burgers in Budapest and the previous place were he worked he prepared an award winning burger (pushed expectations ever higher) then delivered a very average burger forgot that there is gratis drink (needed to ask twice) all this happened while nobody was there, I was the only guest

Nokedli serves traditional food with authentic flavours. We had the chicken paprikas and the beef stew — both were excellent. The meats were incredibly tender, and the chicken sauce was creamy with a lovely paprika note. The beef stew had a pleasant sweetness from the caramelised onions and a rich red wine flavour. Overall, the dishes were slightly under-seasoned, but after adding a bit of salt and pepper at the table, everything tasted just right. Portion sizes are generous, and the meals are hearty and comforting. The interior design is charming, and there are both indoor and outdoor seating options. A very well cooked burger, with the sauce and cheese both appropriately picked to complement it nicely without overthrowing the taste of the meat. The fries were very good.

The place is very clean and nicely decorated, and the owner is extremely friendly and speaks good English. He is clearly proud and passionate about the restaurant. Elsewhere in Europe, paying less than €8 for a really good burger and fries is pretty much unheard of.
