Tldr; owner expects you to verbally tip on top when using a credit card, she will then bully you for not doing it

Fish is fresh despite the cuts for sashimi and nigiri not being excellent. Teacups are the size of a thimble. I've dropped by a handful of times because it's very close to where I live. There's lots of seating and it's not packed. New-ish restaurant. Presentation on the sushi platters is visually aesthetic. Service is a little on the slower side and there's a communication gap.

Female server (possibly owner) tries to imply for tips despite the local environment not having a tipping culture. The first time she asked me if the food was bad. The second time she told me to look at the bill. Finally she told me to that service wasn't charged on the bill after I tapped my card. I told her she should include the service if she expects it or program in tip options on the machine. Then she said I should at least leave a review.

While the food didn't leave a bad taste in my mouth her behaviour did. Needless to say I won't be coming back...

Gave this place a go based on reviews but I find it hard to believe these reviews are real now. We made a reservation which was not necessary as we were the only people there. Ordered some spring rolls and fried dumplings to start. Dumplings were cold and spring rolls were ok. Got a large sushi platter to share then. Presentation was great but the sushi was really not good. Everything tasted the same and not great to be honest. Service was probably the worst part. They had no idea what was going on at all. And we were the only 2 people there. After we got our food we saw nobody until we eventually got up to go and pay. All the staff were sitting at a table at the front door eating. Fresh ingredients, there was a lot of duck slices in the pho soup which was delicious, perfect crispy skin. You can feel that they are investing in the ingredients and the portions. Very kind staff they asked several times if everything is okay that is so good also. The lemonade was really nicely decorated. It is a really nice place to dine in with very reasonable price. Only improvement that I can give is to have a soy sauce that is gluten free so the people that are gluten intolerant can also use it but it is just an idea. We will definitely come back to...
