Stay away from this one, quality has plummeted and prices have gone up.

This was good when it opened but now the quality of the food has plummeted, feels like the old trick of starting with quality and then, once people have tried and give good reviews, downgrading the quality heavily. Have been there a few times and every time it's worse then the last time. Also getting shabby and very understaffed in cleaning staff.

This time I had seafood pasta and my partner had Arancini riceballs. The pasta sauce could (and might have) come straight out of a can and the Arancini were just straight riceballs, no filling and very little taste. It was edible but not much more than that. For this kind of price that's frankly ridiculous.

Before there was a choice of good sparkling wines if you walked around but now there's a choice of mostly bad sparkling wines, without updating the winelists or lowering the prices accordingly. I had to ask at two places to see the bottles and when asked why they weren't serving the good ones anymore both! servers replied that the wine was out of production! Seems to be a standard lie that the staff is fed to tell the the customers, pretty dishonest and stupid as well, good sparkling wines very seldom 'go out of production'.

Giving one star and definitely not coming back, I recommend you stay away as well, Pósthús Mathöll nearby is probably a better choice although haven't been there for some months so don't...

Nestled within the vibrant ambiance of Hafnartorg Gallery, Brand Restaurant offers a culinary journey that intertwines artistry with gastronomy. My recent visit to Brand Restaurant was a delightful exploration of flavors and textures, leaving me with a lingering sense of satisfaction and intrigue.

To start, I indulged in the toasted bread with date pesto, a simple yet sophisticated dish that perfectly exemplifies the restaurant's commitment to quality ingredients and inventive combinations. The warmth of the toasted bread paired harmoniously with the rich sweetness of the date pesto, creating a symphony of flavors that danced on my palate with each bite. The dish was not only visually appealing but also a testament to the culinary prowess of the chefs at Brand Restaurant. Accompanying my appetizer was the espresso martini, a classic cocktail...

Of the many food courts in Reykjavik we tried, we liked this one the best with 2 meals there, once for lunch, once for dinner. We were surprised how quiet it was on a mid week evening but that made it easy to order and obtain our food, and it was quiet for dining and chatting. Lots of choices for food here and based on what we saw and experienced, I would probably be happy with food from any of the vendors. For lunch we had great baked cod with veggies in a bowl, and for dinner I had a fine hamburger with fries (hey, you have to pig out once in a while!). The location is great, right along the Old Harbor, very picturesque, with many options nearby for entertainment or ice cream. If we lived in Reykjavik this would be a GoTo place for us.
