Hands down the best breakfast / brunch spot in Reykjavik. I went 6 times in one week, it’s that good. Vegan paradise — so many delicious pastries, sweet and savory, to choose from. I made it my personal mission to try as many as possible and can proudly report that the blueberry rolls are the best out of the three cinnamon rolls. The tomato and basil scones are the tastiest out of the savory scones and the peanut butter chocolate cups are one of the most amazing things to ever touch my tastebuds. And I have high standards! The vegan breakfast is the way to go, delicious oat lattes and chai and the fresh pressed juice is so wonderful. It’s a great option for a family, my daughter was excited to come every day. We even got the vegan mike bagels to go on our last day for the flight back home. I am going to miss this place but I’m so glad I got to try all the delicious food and beverages! Thanks to the super friendly staff, I’ll be back...
Read moreFine for coffee and baked goods. Cannot recommend the bagel for the price, compared to other bagel places in RVK.
When ordering, I went for the combo, which is called Kim Jong Combo or something like that. I thought it was quite expensive but still went for it. To my surprise, the staff charged me an additional 200 ISK. I asked them why - "Ah sorry, we haven’t changed the price on the menu yet". I still went for it.
I find it lazy and sad that the staff / owners / management care to hike the prices in the POS system, which is often quite a time-consuming project, but do not bother to change the price on the menu, which is, by the way, handwritten and can be changed in a matter of minutes. Not only is this poor service and management, but this is also illegal according to Icelandic consumer law. It is obvious where the order of priorities lies at this place - and it is not in the service nor the quality...
Read moreAs someone that lives in New York, I'm very picky about the bagels I eat. While the bagels here were not the perfect NYC bagels I usually eat, they were still very tasty - the real star of the show for me though were the pastries. The blueberry roll is SO good, as is the cinnamon roll and cookies. My friend and I got the breakfast deal that came with a bagel, a pastry, a coffee, an orange juice and skyr (mine was the dairy-free version). I chose the chai latte and it came in a massive mug, along with a small bite of one of their cookies. I thought it was a good deal, and the service was so friendly that we ended up coming back a second time during our trip for breakfast again. The ambiance was also very cool - I loved the decorations and the bird noises in the bathroom was a fun touch. All in all, highly recommended location for breakfast or when you have a...
