Recently I had visited Caraway Kitchen for a Sunday Brunch buffet. Here is my Viewpoint. Please read through the post before you make any bookings.
Buffet price per person is 2600+taxes including a Mocktail. So per person buffet lunch would cost around 3060rs.
Pros: There is a Vallet Parking. The ambiance is decent but not 5 star level for sure. Live music is good. Staff is friendly but hey you expect nothing less in 5 star hotels. In desert sections, there are a lot of Cakes to try. They have a small kids play area in the midst of the buffet area which is good but may be it's useful for people staying in hotel mostly. it's very small too so nothing eye catching there. They have chicken and veg momos and it was decent and the only item I felt good eating.
Cons: Firstly, being a 5 star property they don't have a menu for choosing a Mocktail. They will just verbally tell you what is available and you need to pick one from a short list. Don't expect a wide range of food. The foods are limited for the price. Live counters: a. They have like Italian live counter with 3 different types of pasta with 3 different sause. Tried all but everything is bland and not upto the mark. The one we have at home for 10-20rs would be much tastier. b. They have a so called live seafood section. With some small shrimps, 3-4 types of sad looking fish, squid and octopus which looked like they had some tough time getting to this place. All the items presented in the display looks pretty old and not welcoming at all. c. I asked for a Red snapper fish and a piece of grilled chicken. The red snapper fish served was quite small and nothing like what they displayed. And sad part is they cooked the fish and a fillet of chicken in same pan. So the chicken had a pungent fishy smell and was very tough to eat. d. The fish was very smelly. I am sure that the fish was not at all fresh. And chicken was bland with only bad fish smell in it. So after tasting this in live seafood section, I did not had guts to try any other items e. There is a live roti counter with 4 veg and 4 non veg curries. Nothing interesting like one shrimp, chicken sukka, and couple other in nonveg items. In veg it's standard liek dal makhanni, veg kadai etc. Which was standard and can get the same in any 599rs buffet. f. Live chat section with decent options. Like papdi chat, pani puri, samosa chat and one other. . Which was okay but taste is average. g. They had a Glazed duck dish. I was looking forward to taste it but it was cold and did not taste good for me. Not sure if it was supposed to be like that. There was one salted sea bass fish initially looked good but people curve the fish themselves so it's messy. But taste was decent. Desert were decent with lot of Cakes. It's like they have full round cakes and you need to cut it and take a piece. Which would get messy after people start cutting themselves. But taste was decent. They have like salad section and bread section. Which was ok ok nothing eye catching like it was standard. But breads were home made I guess. They had japanese sushi section as well but as I stated earlier the fish used hear, did not feel fresh at all. All the sushi had relatively bad smell for me. Did not felt good after trying it out. And few other fancy items which available like chicken dish in coffee cup covered in some puff pastry but they were bland as well. With respect to Sushi, the sad part is that they have something called as veg Sushi and it has a strong smell of fish as well. There was a veg and non veg biriyani pots but taste was average.
I went for my birthday but was very disappointed to pay up that price for what I had
I am a foodie and I know my food very well but this is the first time I paid this much for a buffet and walked out of it with relatively empty stomach.
I didn't feel that the price tag is worth the food and experience. So I don't recommend this place if you want to try a luxury buffet....
Read moreWe have been to Caraway kitchen for lunch buffet on Saturday, we booked the buffet through dineout. Overall it was a pleasant experience, service staffs are attentive and helpful, coming to food there are 5 stations, 1. Italian, 2. Asian, 3. Salad, 4. Indian and 5. Desserts. Indian and dessert stations are the highlight of the buffet lunch in this restaurant. Taste wise, quality wise the food was so good and pleasant. Especially Kolkata Mutton biriyani was damn good, in my experience this biriyani was my most tasty biriyani, the mutton meat are so tender and proper meat red which shows the quality and freshness of the meat. Malavani mase rasa - the fish gravy must try, goes good with the biriyani both are star of the menu. Couple of chicken starters and fish starters are so good in addition to the panneer and other veg starters. Papadi chat was awesome. Coming to Dessert Chocolate truffles cake, blueberry cheese cake are marvelous ...so good in taste and texture..then coconut ball also good, coffee muffin kind of cake was too good reminded of Tiramisu taste. Coming to negatives, Asian and Italian stations are utter waste, especially Asian nothing was there except a fried rice and noodles pre cooked and this should be a live counter, unfortunately its not...worst taste and the chefs in the station not cared about the food or the customer. I expected ateast a Ramen bowl and Dimpsum should have been there in Asian station. Next Italian station, only 2 pizzas were offered 1 veg and another non veg, pasta was literally just for display. No interest shown by the chefs, I requested for the BBQ chicken pizza which was one of the menu, they asked my table number to serve after 30 mins when i checked they asked me to take a piece from the pizza, that was a kind of an experience didn't expect from a 5 star restaurant, kind of off...I tasted one piece expected the sauce and cheese nothing tasted good, pizza base was so hard , no drizzle of a olive oil or a basil..just a plain chicken BBQ sausage with sauce and cheese...kind of less than average Dominos pizza...in these 2 stations needs a serious improvement from the management.. Paying 2.4 k per person for a buffet this is not the food from.asian and Italian to be served. To me this buffet is worth of 1.5k not more than that...due to the Asian and Italian underwhelming food.and there is no ice cream, which is a finishing touch for an buffet...it was not offered...overall an average experience for an overpriced buffet. So ppl who want to try indian and dessert its...

Conrad is the one the premium hotel in Hillton brands, but what i experienced on last Saturday(30/08/25) was not even a three 3 star hotel standards!!!
Food⁉️ Extremely disappointed with spread...
~Over 70% of the food was not fresh and not in the right temperature!
~There is no mutton or red meat available in the entire buffet!
~Asian food spread was complete disaster, those noodles and fried was super cold, no flavour zero taste
~Peeking chicken in the carving was not cooked for the perfection, no aroma nothing, can see the butt portion was not trimmed⁉️
~Pizza on the buffet??? I heard about pizza pass around or live pizza preparation.... Pizza on the buffet? And that too uncooked pizza base!!!
~Biryani - It was mentioned donne biryani, the worst ever biryani which i tasted on my entire life broken rice with zero taste⁉️
~Salad spred was decent! But it was kept in room temperature
~The Dal, chicken curry and the panner from the Indian kitchen tasted good👍🏻
~Desserts - Gulab Jamun without the bainmary and rasmalai kept in the room temperature 🤒 (Seriously iam wondering how the management take the guest health for granted??) Time control? Temperature control?? Nothing required to follow in five star deluxe hotel ⁉️⁉️
My 11 year old son said that, it not at all Conrad, not value for money.... He was not feeling like having anything, so i have requested for dosa, a manger was so kind and accepted my request provided a good dosa!
We just finished our dinner with rice dal and some fruits!!!
Overall the food was bland, not fresh, not even a decent spread, scary if we may lead to food poising too⁉️
But i must appreciate the F&B service team, they tried their level best to make our dinner session better!!! Especially Dipu and Hlim!!!
Ambience⁉️ It's Bangalore, outside it was 27°c or less but inside the restaurant it was 29++... After i reported about the temperature, they switch on the Air conditioning!!!
My humble request to the management, please don't take the guest health for granted ⁉️
Rework on your food quality, consistency, authenticy then I will be the most happiest person to...
