It's been quite some time and we were craving for buffet lunch. After looking for multiple options, we found this to be better than others. This buffet was labelled as fit and healthy so we were also excited for some amazing healthy stuff. Since we reached there just when the buffet started so we thought main course items are yet to be kept. To our greatest surprise there was no main course. So the menu comprised of salads and desserts which is so weird and bizarre. The only main course option was cold burger and cold sandwich which was terrible. Except for khao suey soup and couple of salads n desserts, majority of the offerings were average to below average. The most horrific of all was papadi chaat where the ingredients were papadi and dahi, neither it was healthy nor justified to not put basic ingredients. Healthy doesn't mean non inclusion of basic items. With salads which anyways is an indispensable part of the buffet plus umpteen desserts which has nothing to do with healthiness this buffet was the worse ever experience so far. Coming to their service, it was again not even close to what we expected. The serving folks lacked basic skills in regard to everything. The only sigh of relief was the ambience which was surely in line with what we expected. Overall not suggested...
Read moreWe bunch of foodies decided to catch-up somewhere central, somewhere nice, and ended up for an early dinner at Monsoon in The Park. We hungry bunch not just enjoyed the buffet, we ordered a few dishes off the buffet but from the Menu.
This place with a sweet decor had a functional & minimal buffet spread but with a huge dessert spread. Apart from the chaats on the buffet, there was also a live counter with aloo tikkis & more chaats.
I loved the sesame cauliflower, that was just delicious, so we ordered it twice after. The Babycorn Pepperfry was a great starter as well, with some serious pepper punch that I just loved.
I loved the salad counter which offered anything from Pesto Pasta Salad, to Russian Salad to even a tangy watermelon salad.
The main course was decent, with the dal being cooked really well, flavoursome with some Vegetarian Biriyani & Pulao Options, though fresh hot rotis are served upon request.
The paneer gravy was good, but what sold for me was the Baingan Bartha, was absolutely wonderful though being a tad bit salty.
Overall a great place for both buffet as well as some great options on ala carte. Being a vegetarian that day, I loved the vegetarian dishes. But there are loads of non vegetarian options...
