Karco Heritage — Restaurant in Kolkata

The name truly signifies the restaurant now, considering generations patronizing the place. Although it has lost its glitz and glamour it once used to have, but as the term 'Heritage' suggest, till these days, the restaurant serves many authentic preparation and ensures that the taste factor helps it patrons reminisce the glorious past and those visiting the place with childhood memories feel the same which they used to, few decades back. There are some signature dishes which retains the same taste and flavour what it used to be in earlier days. I visited the place a month back and ordered some favorites like kabiraji, noodles etc and was amazingly surprised. I don't reside in Kolkata anymore and considered myself lucky to have the experience. The place have both AC and non-AC seating space. The server was also very attentive. I would say that a heritage tour of the city is incomplete without a visit to this heritage restaurant. I Don't have many things to say just don't want to go there again will not recommend gou guys any way. We ordered 2 plate chicken biriyani 1 plate chicken chowmin 1 plate chilie chicken Biriyani was far away for something we know Biriyani taste was just not there, quantity is good chicken leg piece was there and Aloo is also there. Chicken chowmin once again quantity is superb, but chicken was hard as nails as my toothache started, chowmin was not cooked properly but they took decent enough time to bring the food to our table after the order. Chilie chicken is the worst of worst, I mean I never ate something like this as a chilie chicken i felt the cheap chilie sauce taste too much, colour of the food was just not ok, taste wise it is horrible, and so small pieces of chicken with big cover of flour. I was shopping with my father when he took me to this place suddenly and I actually felt weird as it was inside and was not sure of the food. But life is full of surprises and my father ordered the shown dishes.

Namely :-. 1- (first food beside the right hand) is Thai tinmul rice ( rice chopsuay and mixed chicken prawn and rice)

2:-. (right infornt the first one) is mixed chow 3:- sweet and sour chicken.

The quality was awesome. Unexpectedly awesome and the food (1 specially) was awesome. Such Thai food is hard to get.

It located right on the first floor sometimes hard to find yet worth it.

The decor may not be so so good but it's well being and the staff is very courteous and very friendly and well natured. They don't even take much longer for the food.
