Aram Hotel — Restaurant in Mumbai

After a tiring day at the office, looking for something good to eat, i stumbled upon this gem of a place. Most of the locals need no introduction to this legendary place. I, being new to Mumbai altogether, went in with zero expectations and came out contended and happy.

It is a quick serve restaurant that serves authentic maharashtrian snacks and meals. The restaurant is full such that, even in tables with only 2 seats, there is a good chance that if you go alone, the person sharing the table with you might be a total stranger.

I decided to try their kothimbir vadi, and bhajani thalipeeth. The kothimbir vadi was soft on the inside and firm on the outside and it tasted like heaven. It just melts in the mouth. Having had the thalipeeth for the first time, i liked the dish a lot.

The moment i saw 'garam masala milk' in the menu, it brought back my childhood memories of having it in Chennai at vasanta bhavan. I love the dish and remember relishing the drink topped with nuts and one special kind of dal. The one served here matched exactly with the one i had in my thoughts. The Aram is located in South Mumbai near CSMT station and BMC headquarter. It located here since last 80 years You can easily notice it from main road. It is on the way Nariman point, Mantralaya It is crowded usually on all days. It is usually close on Sunday. This place offers good, authentic Maharashtrian food. Good place to have authentic dishes You can try any dish over here be Misal Pav, Vada Usal, Pithala Bhakari, Poha, Shrikhand Puri Dessert is must if you visit Aram. Desserts are nothing like anything in this world. Now they are serving Ukadiche Modak (Boiled) as well Drinks like Kokam, Piyush are also worth to give a try You should go for it, you can give a try for other dessert as well. Nice place to hang out with friends/buddies. Cleanliness is at par with other restaurants in Mumbai. Place is decorated so nicely that you love it. Hospitality of this place is worth mentioning. LOCATION - located in Mumbai CST. Very convenient place to go because it's just opposite to CST station. ABOUT PLACE - small place yet very appealing. All the menus are authentic Maharashtra special food menus. The menu card is placed on table in unique stand selected items are there of snacks and lunch. And all are equally good full of taste. All the menu charges are very very pocket friendly nothing is above 100rs that's make this place so unique and different where all the restaurant are behind money in today's era aram is way more different than all the restaurants now it's been years I have not seen the changes in menu card it amazes me a lot. ORDERS - we ordered - rajgira thali, thalipit and pittla bhakri and one piyush all our orders were great in taste. Enjoyed our lunch. STAFF SERVICE - staff service is really quick and good cleanliness is well maintained. EXPERIENCE - over all experience was very good it's now one of favorite place from Mumbai.
