The restaurant is located a stone throwaway from the Radio club at Apollo Bunder and thus one cannot ask for a better locality. There is valet parking available thus you need not fret to find a parking. The restaurant is located on the terrace and reaching there from the ground floor can be tricky. Firstly the elevator can accommodate only 4 person including the liftman. Once you exit on to the 4th floor you will have to climb 2 more floors on a twisting staircase which can be tough for aged and with folks with mobility issues. So please keep that in mind. But once you push open the door and set foot on the restaurant it would make you pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the restaurant. There are lot of small shamiyanas under which tables are placed. Also for larger groups there are tables on the floor to sit and enjoy your meal. The extra advantage is the view of the Taj Mahal Palace tomb from your seat, especially when it’s illuminated in the night As we got seated we ordered Kalmi kebab and a Mushroom kebab. Unfortunately the ordered of ours got changed with some other table and we were provided Kakori kebab and Hara bhara kebab. We ate the Kakori and then realised the mistake. The staff were apologetic and did their best to change the other dish. We ordered 1 Misi Roti, 1 Roomali roti and a sabzi of mixed vegetables. The taste of the food were excellent and the quantity sufficient. The value for money was optimum too. The behaviour of the staff was courteous and warm too Inspite of the change of orders and the inconvenient entry I would definitely recommend to visit it for the beautiful setting and the awesome tasty food

Time waste!!! , I visited koyla last Sunday ( 5 March 2022 ) with my 7 fellow colleagues. It took them more than half an hour to attend us. When we ordered starter, it took almost 45-50 minutes to prepare& serve. They say " Regular water is not available due to RO not working properly " it means on that day all staff of Koyla was drinking only packaged water of Aquafina worth ruppess 100 as mentioned in Menu !!. Even if you ask for water, almost 5-10 minutes will be taken by them to give a bottle. When we started eating dinner there was no one to attend " do you want to keep calling attendant while eating food if you need something ?" , Atleast one attendant must be near to table where people are taking their dinner. As a restro people , you ( koyla managers) must understand that if the flow breaks through during dinner or lunch due to gap in between preparation and order timings then Guest will feel unsatisfied for sure. Menu was not been served which is shown , I mean you don't have French fries ( peri peri) then remove it from menu. Your location is rooftop @ colaba area, atleast you must do things which suits South Bombay #SoBo. Attaching here mine feedback form too.

Amazing place with fab rooftop. Taj in the background Visited this place on Wednesday night with my girlfriend. It was bday dinner. It is located at a prime location just opposite to Taj Hotel but bit difficult to actually reach here as it is located on rooftop & no proper signboard is given anywhere. They have two separate sections i.e. one for sheesha & one for dinner. It's a huge place and the best part of Koyla is their ambiance. One can see Taj Hotel, Gate Way of India & Arabian Sea from one end & from the other end Colaba city can be seen. Nice cozy open-air terrace overlooking the Gateway and sea. Candlelight arrangements with white curtains separate each coup. The shamiana sitting is for groups of more than 12 people but it was empty so we got one. For Starters we went for- Dahi Lasooni Kebab and Koyla Chicken Tikka. Both the kebabs had one good thing which was the flavor of tandoor & which I like. The chicken was juicy and delicious. Food was delicious but a little bit disappointed with their slow service otherwise I would have given them 5 ratings.

It's located at Colaba, very near to the gateway of India and colaba causeway The first thing you will enjoy is the roof top cuisine which gives a different feel and enjoyment while having food. Suitable for evening time. Good for family, couples and even groups Huge space across Hooka is also available but in a separate section which is again a good part The food is good, but please don't go for prawns tandoori because the time i have taken it was not cooked properly, Try to have some regular starters instead. Service is a bit slow, maybe all tables were occupied so.... no wash basin outside the washroom which makes me feel awkward having such a huge space and not a single washbasin available Need to enter every time in the single washroom just to wash hand. Even the washroom was not cleaned. For the ambience i gave it 5 stars but the food and service 4 star

An experience one must visit to feel it.. the Roof top kills it all specially when it is near the sea and the beautiful view of the Taj and Gateway. It might be a bit pricey but it's worth for those special dates and romantic candle light dinners...We r tried the following and loved them all... Guloti Mutton Kebab (it just melts in your mouth, not everyone would like its taste and texture) Koyla Chicken Tikka Kebab (their speciality and the coal flavor just stays with you) Berry Blast (Red Berry Crush with loads of ice and salt brim) Strawberry Peach Cooler (Probably a combination of two Syrups) Dum Gosht Biriyani (Authentic Flavoured Dum) Murg Kotmiri (Creamy Onion and Coriander Gravy) Rumali Roti (Soft and well cooked, goes well with any Gravy) Matki Kesar Rabri (Don't miss this for anything, yummiest Rabri we have tasted)

Separate section for sheesha(hookah) + smoking. Veg & Non Veg dishes served. Do not serve alcohol. Good for friends, families, couples. Nothing corporate about it. The super speedy fans right next to table doesn't let the food stay warm & cools it within seconds. That's a big drawback. Decent food, won't call it extraordinary. Our galauti kebab felt like we were sucking oil. Even after we complained, they answered us back that this is how they make it & they cannot replace it nor cancel it from the billing. Otherwise, Koyla is a beautifully designed rooftop restaurant serving sheesha(hookah). The seating is spaced out & in various sections perfect to accommodate different groups. The sections are low in seating with wooden ceiling & decorated with red curtains. Always rushful during weekends. Do not accept reservations.
