"I got baked in Bombay" The above quote catches your eye as you enter this very small and dimly lit yet warm and cozy café. The seating comprises of three high chairs facing the wall with the quote and a normal table-chair seating for five. The not-so-elaborate menu hangs from blackboards with the limited varieties of eggless cookies (the ones with egg are double!) on display in the glass showcase below.
Amongst the eggless cookies, I've had all except the red velvet one as it always finishes first. The Triple Chocolate Cookie is a must have for dark chocolate lovers and recommended for others as well! The soft and moist Pistachio Cookie is catchy with its bright green color which actually is not an artificial color. The Chocolate Chip Cookie was a disappointment as it was more floury/doughy and chewy with some melted chocolate in the centre as the only relief.
All their ice creams are eggless except the red velvet one, which my friend had but it felt like there was a lot of artificial color in it as her lips and tongue went as red as a vampire! The Dark Chocolate Ice Cream with a base of vanilla seemed more like milk chocolate to me. Gone are the days when we had to rely on Subway's sad excuse for a chocolate chip cookie to satisfy our craving. No longer do we need to depend on Hide N Seek and Milano to fill our stomachs with chocolate goodness. It's joints like Oh Dough and Sweetish House Mafia that have entered the Cookie neighbourhood and how!
Standing tall in a quaint alley at Fort, Oh Dough definitely serves the best cookies in town! I tried three melt-in-the-mouth delicacies â Red Velvet Cookie, Chocolate Chip Cookie and Sâmores. As an ardent cupcake lover, I never thought I would taste a cookie that tasted almost as good, if not better, than the cupcake â yes, the Red Velvet Cookie was delightful. Soft, flavoursome and creamy, the Red Velvet Cookie a must have. The Chocolate Chip Cookie crumbled easily and had tiny semi-melted chocolate chips which added to the taste. If youâre a fan of marshmallows and peanut butter then Sâmores should definitely be on your list.
Devouring the cookies sure did make me squeal, âOh Doughâ and this is only the first of many...
Read moreThis place has amazing vibe .. the ice creams and cookies are yum.. but this place requires better management during crowd hours.. I had a horrible experience where the staff Sujit screamed at me..only bcz I requested him that I needed served scoop over take away tubs..bcz I wasn't aware that there were take away tubs available.. I politely said sorry I need the icecream in form of servings for which he very rudely spoke to me in front of 10 people ..I would have appreciated a polite response....your staff really needs to learn how to deal with the pressure of being over crowded..no point selling best products but your customers are treated like crap...he has been talking arrogantly to ppl asking for several tasting options...if you don't want ppl to taste and buy just stop the strategy of allowing customers to taste..you really need to...
