Ordered the chicken-kabob-ish dish. The chicken wasn't bad, but I was surprised that it only came with one stick for the price. For that, I'd drop this down to four stars.
Others have commented on the quality of the food, but I found the taste mediocre for Mediterranean food.
The larger problem for me was that the service was hectic and disorganized. I saw waiters and waitresses literally running around, serving dishes. It gave off a very unprofessional feel. Waited for at least 20, if not 30 minutes for my dish, and had to ask two waiters for my check, and ten minutes later, neither had come through. The management should probably sit down and rethink how to make their their operation smoother. If they could do that, I'd give this place 3.5 stars.
Lastly, there were ants on the wall so that if I leaned back on it, they'd end up crawling on me. I hate to say this, but before opening, you should probably spray the place for insects. We don't need to see that, but it would make for a much more pleasant...
Read moreI had my first proper pork gyro in Santorini—crispy edges, juicy meat, wrapped up like a warm little piece of heaven. So when I spotted a Greek joint while wandering through Ubud, I clocked it instantly. Had to try. Now, the gyro here? It was alright. But let’s not sugarcoat it—the pork needed to be softer, less rubbery, and it was missing that deep, fire-kissed flavour that makes a good gyro unforgettable. The fries were just there, skinny and uninspired. Should’ve been thick, hand-cut, with a bit of soul in them. Credit where it’s due though—the tzatziki was bang on. Cool, creamy, perfect kick. That part took me back. Then, just as I was chewing through the moment, in comes this well-meaning lad, strumming a guitar, singing “When You Say Nothing At All.” Sweet guy, bless him. But between the off-key crooning and the half-lost accent, the tune took a bit of a beating. Good vibe overall. But yeah—if you’re gonna do a gyro, give it heart. Roast it proper, cut the chips thick, and maybe leave Ronan Keating to...
Read moreI've eaten in this restaurant twice - i ordered local food "mie goreng" - first time it was OK - food tasted good. Second time it was terrible! They offered "small mia goreng (without chicken, with drink for 29k IDR)" and "big mia goreng (with chicken, without drink for 65k IDR)" - we've ordered one small and one big with additional drink for 30k... first of all THEY WERE THE SAME SIZE - small... they were OVERSALTED, and when we reported this to the waiter, first one was just confused and smiled to us... i asked the second waiter and told him i'm unsatisfied with the service, described the problem, and i feel bad about this situation, so he should do something about it. He said that he is sorry and will report it to the cook. I asked for the bill - they charged me for the big mia goreng (but i noted that i received small one), and also charged me with additional money for tipping the service (which i denied). I don't recommend...
