Lamak Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Bali

This is one of the most expensive restaurants in Ubud, and as such you would expect the food also to be the best. While some people in our party enjoyed their food somewhat the dishes were very hit and miss, which should not be the case on such a limited menu. The passionfruit used in the meals and drinks was off, and the red meat dishes were bland and flavourless. The duck was quite good, but not as good as many warung in the area that charge a fraction of the price. The atmosphere was not great, which is actually quite difficult to achieve in Bali given the natural surrounds. Try any of the other places on this road before heading in here for anything more...

I had dinner at Lamak a couple of nights ago, my friend suggested this place, I was a bit skeptical because it is listed as British restaurant in google, but I just followed my friend suggestion. The place is super nice, the service was amazing and the food was delicious. It is sad that it wasn’t full because this place is marvelous and the dishes are carefully served. If you are in Ubud, you should try this place.

P.S: recommendation for the owners, I would suggest you to change the type of restaurant from “British” to “Western food” as your menu is a mix of...

Brilliant. Cocktails were fantastic (do try the coconut pandan martini) and food is beautiful (Instagram worthy) and delicious. If you’re here to get local food like nasi goreng or what not, you’re not gonna find it at Lamak. It’s all western with a little bit of Indonesian fusion. Had the gnocchi and curry chicken - both were amazing. Not so crowded when we had a late lunch at 3pm, plus there was 1...
