This was my first experience on visiting this place, it turned out to be an awesome experience.
I thought that this was just an ordinary fancy restaurant that serves beer and stuffs, but it really exceeded my expectations.
For the food and beverages, I think its on the expensive side around 55-90k++ per item. But I think it’s pretty similar to the real deal, that is in Munich (perhaps, idk 😅).
What’s interesting is the beer though, usually I don’t like beer (the regular one), but here in Paulaner, they also have mixed-beer drinks in which I thought I should try aswell. And after ordering the Strawberry Breeze, Lychee Zest, and Mango. I think those beer are different than your average beer, so if u wanna try out beer, this should be a good place for you to try (perhaps. but if u don’t drink alcohol, then maybe its best u don’t try it out) xD
The waiters and waitresses are also very understanding and nice, even though during the Live Music, it was kinda hard to ask for their assistance because of the loud sound/music.. but it’s very understandable, it’s really hard to hear during the performance.
Now we get into the best thing out of all of this, the Live Music. At the time I was there it starts at around 7.30PM and lasted till 10PM at Saturday (I already went home at this time, it still kept going tho). After the Live Music started, I was reminded of Another Place that recently got shutdown wink wink
But I think this place was a lot livelier for me, and I think that’s great! So yeah, the performance was wild, there was a lot of people involved in the singing and dancing.
Overall, I think I had a blast while visiting this place and I recommend you try this place out. Even if you don’t drink beer here, there are a lot of stuff that would keep you interested (whether its the...
Read moreI keep returning to Paulaner Bräuhaus primarily for the beer, which remains enjoyable and of good quality. However, I've noticed it's not quite the same as the Paulaner beers I've enjoyed in Munich and other European cities – perhaps a slightly less nuanced flavor profile. However, my experiences with the food and customer service have been inconsistent. During several visits, the food was disappointing. For example, the Schweinshaxe was quite dry (4 out of 7 times, 8t was dry - inconsistent), and on another occasion. The service has also been hit-or-miss; on one visit, we had to flag down a server multiple times to order drinks, and our empty plates sat on the table for an extended period after we finished eating, which detracts significantly from the overall dining experience. That said, the atmosphere is pleasant, with its traditional German decor and lively background music creating a warm and inviting ambiance. And when the service is attentive, it makes a real difference. The restaurant is priced in the mid-range. Overall, I'd give Paulaner Bräuhaus a 3 out of 5 stars due to inconsistentcy with the food and services.

I hope the management continues to work on improving food consistency and staff training to match the high standards expected from a Paulaner establishment. I look forward to returning and hopefully enjoying a more consistently positive dining experience alongside...
Read moreSince I came to stay in Jakarta on Feb 2023. At least once a month I came here with my 2 other expat friends. The food, beers, cocktails are ok. Acceptable. Even not as authentic as in Germany but considering Jakarta is very far from German, so everything are OK.
Its just the music too loudly. We couldn't talk to each other unless we scream until our throat pain.
My bad experience was, one time my wife since she arrive early to paulaner, she tried to get a table. The unpolite reception make sure that there was no available table. But so weird that, when I came, maybe becs we are bule. Suddenly they prepare one table. I don't know what happen. But clearly skin and identity is mattered with reception.
And my other bad experiences was, one time I ordered gin tonic and when the gin arrived is nothing in the glass, only tonic bottle, glass of ice and an empty glass. I directly complained to the waiter. But I asked, looked like she even not checking what she brought. And looked confused. And then came other waiter. from what he said and what we interpreted. He said that we or I'm are lying.
How could that he thought that I'm lying over a single gin. While we spent with overall bills more than 4 mil rupiah?? .
I know this maybe individual behavior from 1 or 2 waiters, not representing all the staffs. Some staff they are very friendly.
But this things, make us REALLY CAREFUL IF WE WANT TO ORDER SOMETHING AND WHAT ARE REALLY COMING TO THE...
