The People's Cafe Grand Indonesia — Restaurant in Jakarta

Date of visit : April 6th 2022.

Food was okay and fairly priced. I could give 4 star for the food but the service was really really bad. I was coming with my son and husband, and my son is sleeping hence we need to have proper chair to be able to enjoy our food. The child friendly table with sofa is available, the waitres said okay, but unfortunatley the supervisor/manager(?) came and said the table is for 4 people, the waiters (with trainee tshirt) are kind enough and speak politely but the supervisor/manager who use plain shirt with no apron is not talking with good manner, not even look at our face when talking. Pretty rude. To be honest we can understand the reasoning, and accepting at first when they gave us the table with wooden chair and chair without back support. I have to hug my sleeping son during eating while trying to enjoy the food. When the resto is not so packed anymore I asked if we can move to the sofa. Again, got rejected because we are just a group of 3. The waiters was kind enough to say that he need to ask the supervisor/manager (the same rude person) only to get the same no answer.

Then not long after that came young people of 3 and they seat on the table with sofa, then coming another family group of 3 and they can seat on the table with sofa seater too. They are also not saying thanks or giving warm gesture whenever customers finished and left. I mean... wow what a cold approach. I have zero energy to complain to the staffs, because it seems useless and only creates drama, so let the complain typed here and hope the management to see and hopefully ISMAYA willing to improve this. Restaurant/cafe is not only about food, but also service, they should know better.

Such a bad experience, staff with ZERO empathy and BAD manner is not worth the food at all. Def not...

The food was Ok But the service is bad compares to people's cafes i tried before (in gandaria city & bandung). Our drinks came very late, even when we were half way enjoying our meal, still not coming, only my child's drink that serve on time. I had to ask & remind the waiter for so many times. Then my husband drink's were served when he almost finished his food but mine need to wait additional abt 10 mins to get served. AND MY DRINK WAS ONLY AN ICED TEA, WHY IS IT SO HARD TO MAKE AN ICED TEA? I complained to the waiter, the waiter did say sorry, told us the reason that our drink wasnt printed on the system ( i think it's so weird to happen with online ordering) but with a big smile no sign of guilty on the face. Then I see one of the waiter in black shirt were talking & laughing in a very loud volume. The Atmosphere was better. I was frequently went to TPC GI. Sadly, the indoor smoking area has been replenished into oblivion🥺

Service, as good as it was. Everyone treated equally with smile and joy.

The food, I ordered multiples. I came in hungry and craving to be treated so bare with me: Tahu Cabe Garam, Nasi Goreng Chili Oil, Nasi Goreng Iga Bakar, Ice Tea, and Jasmine Cold Brew.

Jasmine Cold Brew: I came to taste something new, yet i served one. My usuals was Orange Cold Brew. A bit too sweet, but felt hugged by mempelai wanita di sebuah Java Wedding.

Tahu Cabe Garam: The recession felt so strong but the flavour rainbow emerged as aperitif
