HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. The restaurant was crowded and we were not served at all. We waited in front for more than 15 minutes and no waiter came to take our queue to write it down, which is common practice in Indonesian restaurants. There were people ahead of us that were seated first because they would not take our name down, despite us asking the waitress for help. They completely ignored, dismissed us, and told us to wait while giving us a snappy attitude. We even asked multiple waiters but no luck. I was bringing a family of 10 with two elderly, who needed to be seated, so this was upsetting us. We came at around 1pm, so I acknowledge that it was the lunch rush, but it was so hot and we were not being served at all. At this point, I thought that there was no queue system and that people would just walk in and try to get their own table. We were stopped and told that another person was going to sit there, though we KNEW that we came first. I squabbled with the waiter and told him that there was absolutely NO ONE at the front, and asked if he even had our name taken down yet from ANY ONE of our 10 members. He said no. After insistence, they let us sit. We ordered.

At this point, the lunch rush was dying down. There were quite a few empty tables, and a lot of the ones that had people in it were already served. Despite this, it took 15 minutes for us to receive our drinks, 30 minutes for our utensils to arrive, and NEARLY AN HOUR for our food to come. We asked the waiters multiple times for when our food would come out, which we were then ignored and dismissed like last time. One of the waitresses even told us with a condescending tone that we needed to know the food here was first come first served, and that naturally people before us would be served first. This really got to me, because we were basically spoken to like we were kindergarteners. OF COURSE WE KNEW THAT! We wanted to know how much longer it would take, to see if we had enough time to walk around Bali Collection. The family that was seated barely 10 minutes before us, who were sitting behind us, have all already gotten their food and have ALREADY FINISHED EATING! The simple dishes didn’t even come out first, like the fish and chips, fried rice, or even SALAD. We received our food at around 2:45, and more than half of the restaurant was already empty.

But since this is a restaurant review, I’ll also talk about the food. This is an expensive restaurant that is NOT worth the money in taste, but ESPECIALLY in portion size. The duck was fried too dry and was tough on most parts. The mahi-mahi was depressing, served on a gargantuan plate but looking like a kid’s meal. The caesar salad was soggy. After nearly TWO HOURS of wait overall, this was an absolute joke. We ended up leaving at 3:30 despite arriving at around 1.

I have never written reviews for ANYTHING before, but I have NEVER felt as belittled, dismissed, and condescended in my entire life as I did in this restaurant. Maybe I would’ve given a higher rating if we were judging solely based on food, but the service that smacked us right in the face at the start of this experience completely soured the entire mood. Honestly, I would give 0 stars if I could just because of the service. If you want to eat at Bali Collection, I advise finding somewhere else to eat, ESPECIALLY if it’s crowded. If you want to try fried duck, go for Bebek Bengil. If you REALLY want to try Bebek Tepi Sawah, PLEASE for the love of all things holy find another branch. I looked at the reviews and found that this branch in particular had a lot of complaints regarding its service. Looks like it wasn’t just me...

Fried Duck Dish Review:

I recently had the pleasure of trying the fried duck dish, and it was a delightful experience. The presentation was appetizing, with the duck served alongside a portion of steamed rice, fresh vegetables, and a variety of flavorful accompaniments.

The duck was cooked to perfection, with a crispy exterior and tender, juicy meat inside. The skin had a wonderful crunch, and the seasoning was spot on, enhancing the natural flavor of the duck without overwhelming it. The accompanying sambal sauce added a perfect kick of spice, complementing the duck beautifully.

The dish also included a side of fresh cucumber, tomato, and a small portion of lettuce, which added a refreshing contrast to the rich flavors of the duck. The rice was well-cooked and served as a great base to balance the other components of the meal.

Overall, this fried duck dish was a satisfying and flavorful experience. It's a must-try for anyone who enjoys well-prepared duck with a touch of spice. Highly...

Authentic Balinese Dining Experience – A Must-Try!

I had an amazing dining experience at this Balinese restaurant! The food is incredibly authentic, bringing the true flavors of Bali to every dish. The Bebek Tepi Sawah is an absolute must-try – perfectly crispy on the outside and tender inside, with rich flavors that make it unforgettable. The grilled fish is also outstanding, cooked to perfection with a delicious blend of spices that highlight the freshness of the seafood.

Beyond the fantastic food, the service was just as wonderful. The waitress was exceptionally friendly and helpful, always attentive and ready with great recommendations. Her warm hospitality made the meal even more enjoyable.

If you’re looking for a genuine taste of Bali with excellent service, this place is a gem. Highly...
