La Pala Bali — Restaurant in Kuta Selatan

It was the last night of our 2 week honeymoon in beautiful Bali. We decided to try somewhere different for our farewell meal. We stumbled across Lapala after browsing the shops. It was the best choice. It was the perfect end to our two weeks. The service we received was 5 star. The staff were very kind & helpful, very friendly. The food was exceptionally great. Such a wide variety to choose from & great choice of sides. Very well cooked and well presented. The atmosphere was beautiful & cosey, ideal for couples, friends & family alike. The singer was fantastic, great voice & great variety. Not the same songs you hear musicians in nussa dua singing. Can't wait to go back again when we next come to Bali, maybe bring the parents next time. Wish we'd gourd it sooner. Just had a lovely dinner with the family here - 12 year old and 9 year old. The 9 year old can be quite picky, but they had a good selection of 'western'-type kids food, and the chicken nuggets and chips were polished-off. One of the many attractions of Bali for me is nasi goreng (there are many ways that rice is cooked around the world, and the Balinese way is my favourite), and the restaurant very kindly made a vegetarian version for me, the rice came with skewered veg which had been grilled, a peanut sauce, battered and fried courgette, and lightly pickled carrot and cucumber - it was delicious, with really well balanced flavours. Everyone else enjoyed their mains as well - and we all then had dessert (which was excellent- I enjoyed my flambé bannana, with ice-cream and a lovely sweet pineapple marmalade). We left completely sated. The service was friendly and relaxed, the music from the singer was charming - they just made it into a really nice evening out for us...

If your in The collection this is a must visit. Quick friendly service, I had the crispy spring rolls, as good as they come with sweet chili dipping sauce. To follow I had black bean beef it was served on a hot griddle with steamed rice and very enjoyable. I had a couple of LaPala Sunrise cocktails great enjoyable refreshing change from the Bintangs I have been drinking for the last two weeks. My companions all had different Pasta dishes which they said were very enjoyable. Good background music, speedy professional service at a very reasonable cost.
